Chapter 7: Memories that should never have been touched

Izana decided to ignore what Greif said and continued with their way towards the castle. Percival and Sirius followed him but they decided to heed Greif's warning about Arthur. They knew him for ten long years so they were aware of how dangerous Arthur could become if the girl was involved.

They keep walking to the castle that although it was close, the truth is that the castle was still far away. In their way, a strange part filled by plants and animals appeared. That place contrary to the rest of the environment have light and it was full of live and in the air the managed to hear laughs so they follow them. They follow the laughs until they saw at the distance a violet hair man with wolf ears and tail playing with (y/n) who returned to her child's body.

Was that sight a mirage? Everyone was confused because it was impossible for (y/n) to play and laughs like that in this current situation. She was captured so she must be scared right now not laugh and play with her captors.

—Lets approach to him. The princess must be an illusion he created to fool us— Percival commented. Izana and Sirius do as Percival said and approached to him normally without paying attention to the girl.

But what they thought it was an illusion, it wasn't. When the girl sees Izana approaching her happy face disappeared and as they keep approaching, she stops playing ad ran towards the man accompanying her with teary eyes.

—Kourin... Why is he here? I don't want to see him...—what she say only confirmed that she was the real (y/n) but why was she acting so familiar with them? The man...monster or whatever petted her head before ordering her to return faster with Arthur and tell him that they had finally arrived. (y/n) hugged him and taking advantage of that, she placed a red pendant collar in his neck before running in the contrary direction.

Kourin stared at the pendant hanging from his neck and smiled at her action.

'For you, I'm more than willing to give my life. No matter what happen, I'll protect you (y/n)' Kourin take his spear and pointed it towards the intruders — if you are here to take the princess with you, I won't going to allow it. She is happier at our side and we will never make her cry like that day...— he said before attacking them without leaving them the time to reply and prepare themselves.

Kourin attacks were powerful and fast that every shockwave created by his weapon started to destroy the surroundings leaving huge craters and rubble from giant rocks. Even if they were three, the couldn't find the way to stop Kourin attacks and his attacks didn't seems to decrease the speed or power even if he has been attacking like that for a long time. They only can dodge the attacks.

There in the distance (y/n) was still there watching the entire battle. Even if the distance between her and the battlefield was huge she still can hear what they said. But why did she decide to stay and see the battle? That was simple. Even if Izana was playing with her feelings she was still in love with him.

What if what happens was a misunderstanding? What if what Izana really wanted to say that day it in the throne room was about cancelling his engagement with that woman? She didn't wait to hear Izana to the end and leave the room crying. The battle continued with Kourin at the advantage but as they keep battling, (y/n) heard something Izana said that surprised her.

—Please, hear me. I'm here to saver her but if she don't want to return with us it's fine... At least leave me apologize to her. I want to apologize for didn't tell her about my engagement but that was because I'm only in love with her and to surprise her I decided to break my engagement in front of everyone and then ask for her hand in marriage...— (y/n) couldn't believe what Izana was saying. Then everything what happen at that place were only a misunderstanding caused by her impatience? She was about to go and stops Kourin when she suddenly noticed something. How is possible that Izana has been dodging attacks like that? And why He looks younger?
