Chapter 12: Because I love you...

The time flow of that world suddenly stopped before the black hole could swallow Izana and the others; the only place where the time was still running was that place where they were.

—So... who will be that sacrifice? —Kimagure asked them.

—Then take one of our souls...—Percival and Sirius shouted at the same time but what they said only made Kimagure laugh at them.

—Unfortunately, your souls aren't useful for me if I want to close that black hole. My power isn't enough itself to stop it, that's why I need a selfless sacrifice, a sacrifice that came from the bottom of the heart. In your case, you are offering your soul to me not because you want to but because you need to; as a knight of the kingdom, your duty is to protect (y/n) even if that means sacrifice your own life in order to do it. A sacrifice because of loyalty and devotion is useless for me since I cannot obtain much power from it; even if I take both of your souls, it will be useless...— Kimagure snapped his finger and from the nothing a Scythe appeared in his hands— But if we talk about Izana or (y/n), the matter is different—

—If you don't have the enough power to close the hole, then why did you open it in the first place? —Izana complained about Kimagure irresponsibility for doing such nonsense thing without thinking in the consequences.

—Do you really think that I was the one who opened it? Don't make me laugh. If my power isn't enough to close it, do you really think that it will be enough to open it? —Kimagure keeps laughing at them —it looks like the oracle really hid everything from you... That black hole has existed since the beginning, since the moment that my lord disappeared suddenly from this world. The place became silent after those words said by Kimagure. Percival and Sirius couldn't be able to say anything more since what the demon said of them was true. They were more than willing to give their life for (y/n) but their sacrifice is not 'selfless' as Kimagure said; because of the respect they have for her, because of the loyalty they felt towards her, they see as a duty give their own life for her if it was necessary.

And for Izana and (y/n), they keep silent after those words. They keep their sight down and they didn't seem to move a bit. They were thinking in what Kimagure say and were taking the right action to take. After a bit, Izana lifted his head to stare at those cold eyes from the demon more than decided to give and answer. But when he was about to offer his soul as sacrifice, another voice stopped him.

—Please take mine...— (y/n) muttered in low voice. Everyone turned to her with confused faces over them. Kimagure approached to her and placed the scythe edge under (y/n)'s neck.

—But why? I was about to sacrifice myself in order to save you, so why? —Izana was angry and sad at that moment. How could she do something like that? —Why did you do that? You don't need to sacrifice yourself only to save me and the others; I was the one who must do it in order to protect you...— (y/n) still keeps her head down because she didn't want to face Izana in that moment.

—Because I cannot let you do that... You still have a life ahead and a brilliant future waiting for you, but for me, it's not like that...— she finally lift her face to stare at Izana with teary eyes—I was killed sixteen years ago... I should already be dead but if the oracle brings me to back to life, it must has been a reason behind it... maybe it was because of this moment...— the chains imprisoning her disappeared freeing her from that cross. Kimagure lowered his scythe to leave her walk towards Izana— please live for me too Izana... live and protect the citizens of my kingdom...— she take Izana's face between her hands and smiled towards the prince.

—Why... why are you sacrificing yourself so easily? — A little tear came out from the prince eyes and fall over (y/n)'s hands.

—Because I love you...— she said before placing a sweet kiss over his lips a last time. Once she broke the kiss, Izana and the others disappeared from that place and appeared in the kingdom, or what remains from it.

The time started to flow again and the castle started to get swallowed by that black hole in the sky. Izana, Percival and Sirius stared at the sky along with all the citizens in Utopia Avalon; they saw how the castle little by little started to disappear in that deep hole but before it could be totally swallowed, the black hole disappeared.

—(y/n)...— Izana couldn't endure it anymore so he finally started to cry for the loss of (y/n) —(y/n)!!!!—

This is how the story ends, like it or no. But I'm sure that nii-san won't go to like the final so he will force me to write another ending.
