"She's waking up."

Ginger and citrus assaults my senses as I finally come out from beneath the dark blanket of sleep after...

After what?

Why can't I remember anything. The last thing I remember is my mother...

With a cup of water?

Was it a cup of water?

Why was she standing over me with water?

I hear beeping  and my brain places it as a heart monitor, like one from the old soap operas I used to watch with Marie.

My eyes try to open but right when they do a bright light blinds me and makes me groan.

"Thank God." A women's sob rings through my ears drums, the slightly southern accent catches my attention.

"Sweet girl, you can wake up now." A rough callused hand touches mine and I jump, my eyes shooting open despite the light on me.

The first thing I see is a woman with brown hair and green eyes. She gives me a perfect smile and there's recognition in her eyes that tells me I should know who she is. Do I know her? Should I know her?

A man with thick eye brows and a bald head was sitting next to me giving me a kind smile. His dark brown eyes told of stories I didn't know.

Maybe they had the wrong room?

I blush, how do I tell these people who think they know me, that I have no idea who they are.

"Um, I'm sorry but I think you have the wrong room." I whisper looking back at the ceiling. The crinkly paper of the pillow makes me frown, where am I?

"Sweetie? Sang?" The woman asks, her happy grin faltering at the corners. I feel panic flood my veins, how does she know my name?

"Ahhhh Miss Sang! It's glad to see you awake." A happy old man says coming through the door. I feel panicked tears fill my eyes.

"You dont need a doctor Sang, you're over reacting."

"No Doctors, all they want to do is rape and hurt you."

Not all people are that bad, not everyone can be that bad!

Still you are these two people that obviously think they know me.

"Doctor Roberts." The woman says. I feel a sudden head pain, like I was just hit in the back of it with a bat, and groan covering my eyes.

There's shuffling around the room and the door opens and closes and the bed depresses at the edge near my feet. The woman is sitting there tears in her once happy green eyes, my heart hurts and I feel disappointed in myself for some reason.

"Miss Sorenson, I'm going to ask you a few questions." The slightly teasing tone is gone from the doctors voice and only professionalism remains.

"What is your name?"

"Sang Sorenson." I whisper, pushing on my temples, tears in my eyes.

"Where were you born?"

"It was a home birth."

"Can you tell me where you are right now?"

"A Hospital?" I guess blushing, I'm honestly not sure, I've never been in one.

"What state?" He asks his voice low, concern and confusion in his kind eyes.

"Illinois." I answer. At least I know thats for sure. A sharp intake of breath from the woman makes me second guess.

"Oh sweetie." She whispers, a slim hand pressed to her mouth. I hear the heart rate thingy start to get faster and I look to the doctor.

"Erica I'm going to ask you to leave and tell the um..." he always his throat and looks at me.

"Her friends she's currently having, memory loss and they won't be able to come in until a later date."

She nods and gives me a sad look before walking out of the door.

They deffinetly have the wrong room, I have no friends.

"Wheres my parents?" I ask quietly while the doctor is writing things down on a clip board. He looks up at me from beneath his bushy eyebrows. He then takes a deep breath and shakes his head slightly looking like he's shaking away something.

"Miss. Sorenson, we need to have a talk."
