Darcy POV

I quietly zip my suitcase, with a pounding headache. "Boots, sneakers, sweatshirts, lots of clothes, hygiene stuff, other things, and" I pause staring at a shiny object, carefully I pick it up to examine it. Mom's old necklace, I think with many memories rushing through me like a blizzard. After a moment of silence, I sigh, putting the necklace gently on my bed, turning it away.

While dragging my suitcase along, I slowly walk to the edge of the stairs, and plop myself down. I scream a little when a hand touches my shoulder. "Hey!" Marcy exclaims sitting down next to me. "You nearly scared me death Marcy!" I say in anger. "Why'd you pack your suitcase, we're only going for like an hour?" Marcy asks, ignoring my last response.

"What if we don't come back?" I ask looking at Marcy. "Then mom will just help us," she shrugs, starting to stand up. "Wait where are you going?" I ask pretending to roll my eyes. "Um I'm going outside, I don't care about this house anymore, I just want us to be safe, together. Plus this old junk of a place is just plain ole' creepy," Marcy tries walking downstairs, but I grab her arm.

"What the heck are u doing Darcy!" Marcy screams. "I tried so many times with you, I been way too patient and generous too you, and mom and dad, and everyone in this house did. This is how you repay them?!" I suddenly become angry. "No, Darcy I," she stutters. "Look I have a pocket knife with me, and if you mess up one more time, it's it for you." "But we're sisters," Marcy cries.

"Fake sisters," I correct. "Darcy don't blow our cover..." Marcy says strangely. "I think you already covered that," I say meanly. "Let's just complete the mission, you act crazy, I'll act shy and calmly. Markus doesn't know about how his real sisters died, so let's keep it that way. We aren't 8 years old, we're adults in disguise you know?" I say giving Marcy a strange look.

"We have to kill him," Marcy whispers like someone else is by us. "I know, just not yet,". I reply with guilt. "Girls," We both turn and see the doll, AKA our master. "Ah yes finally, I been needing to talk to you." I nods with my head down, carefully not making eye contact. "Um, Darcy do you know what the mission was?" Our master says in an evil like voice.

"Saving Markus," I respond looking up at him. "Yeah well you just said you were going to kill him," the doll walks a little bit closer. "I swear I didn't say that! Marcy did!" I yell holding my pocket knife behind my back. "So your blaming your twin sister?!" The doll has one hand behind its back now.

"You just blew the cover, I saw everything this was a a test, everything was. Your mom is a spirit now but she visited me, changed who I used to be. Markus come in now!" The doll pauses giving the evil eye. Markus steps in, a nervous wreck he was. "He knows everything, everyone does!" The doll runs towards me and picks me up by my collar of my shirt. "Pls, if I knew I would've, mom! Markus, Marcy, dad! I just want them!" I pause, feeling a piercing pain in my back, blood starts rushing out.

"Back," I finish my sentence quietly, I drop to the ground, bleeding to death, but one last knife stabs me in the neck, I die quickly, then I black out.
