Riele-

The bath wasn't his only use of humiliation. Jace used a number of looks on me as well. From one cocky eyebrow to the slight twitching of his upper lip. He was beside himself with giddiness. It was insatiable entertainment to see the jagged red lines on the whites of my eyeballs thicken in color as he encapsulases his hand around my throat.

He let it rest there, like a necklace. Between my collarbones his palms crushing weight. In his bedroom, Jace took his time dressing me. It was nothing more than a plain black dress, a pair of panties made entirely of raven sheer lace. Alongside them were a matching pair of stiletto pumps and a plastic badge.

"Why am I wearing this?"

"Pretend you're a b

I don't know how long he let me lay there on the floor, soaking my damp hair in tears that slipped down my cheeks and pooled in my ears. I stared up at the ceiling, letting my eyes follow over the congealed white surface. I wasn't allowed to be angry at myself, although I was. I had done nothing to stop him. Just sat there in the steaming water, whining like a baby. Regret crept up the inside of my stomach at his smirk expression. He showed me anew side of him. A cruel and unforgiving side.

"Get up."

Jace stepped over my body as he entered the bedroom, fixing a royal blue argyle tie around his neck. He was dressed from head to toe in a stiff looking navy suit. Shiny black wallabies, not a scratch to be seen on them. His hair was combed neatly, and gold cuff links glimmered at both of his wrist where a silver x pernada Rolex Watch was revealed from the upping of his left sleeve. I sat up slowly, watching him.

"Like what you see?"

Jace caught my eyes in the reflection of the floor to ceiling mirror next to a mahogany chest of drawers.

"No."

"You're a terrible liar."

"And you're a deranged maniac."

"Now, little girl... what about me have you found to be deranged or manic?"

He argued, and his face scrunched up as if he was actually truly offended by the statement.

"You're joking, right?"

He turned his whole body around to face me and smiled, a slick unsettling smile.

"Go on..."

"Kidnap is illegal in all 50 states."

"So is underaged drinking and the use of a fake ID at an over 21 club in the hardest parts of New York City."

His eyes were narrowed on me now. I felt my mouth open, and lowered my eyes to my hands. How would he know anything about that? It could only mean he's been stalking me for god knows how long. I fucking hate him. I'll kill him. When I looked up again, Jace was chuckling, I could see the mental tallies in his twisted mind.

"We've got things to do, places to be, you'll be posing as my new assistant. Don't speak unless spoken to, if you try it... this-"

Jace clamped a cold metal bracelet down on my wrist and used the smallest pair of keys I've ever seen to lick it up tight against my skin.

"Will send 2300 volts of electricity through your entire body. It's not enough to kill you but hey, it's enough to make you pass out, shit yourself, and vomit blood all at the same time. Don't make eye contact, stay where I can see you and if you try anything when we get home... I'll make you forget who you are like this-"

Jace suddenly snapped his fingers in my face and make me jump. His eyes were so serious I began to wonder if I'd ever see my family again alive. I swallowed a mouthful of saliva and nodded silently.
