Chapter 14

We arrive at the brooks brothers house and I'm still soaking wet from the lake, as soon as we get in I'm hoping Jai will let me change straight away. "Oh my god yay, mum's home" Beau yells parking the car on the drive. Oh great, just my luck, the first time their mum meets me and Charlotte I'm gonna look like an ugly wet dog. Beau stops the car and we all jump out. Luke runs to the front door and unlocks it. "Hey mum" He yells. We all follow behind Luke, me and Jai going in last.

I hide behind Jai as I'm quite nervous, say she doesn't like me? I've never been good at making people like me, hence why I only have one friend. "Hey boys" I hear a ladies voice yell, she sounds nice. "Hi, I'm Charlotte" Charlotte says introducing herself to their mum. See Charlotte is a love able person, she will easily be welcome here, but for me it's not that easy. We walk into the kitchen all greeting her, she sees me last and walks over to me. "Hey sweetie, I'm Gina, how are you" She asks me. Wow, she is so lovely, I already feel comfortable around her. "Hi, I'm Aimee, I'm good thankyou" I say trying to sound as polite as I could be. "Hunny, your soaked, do you wanna go get changed?" Gina asks. "Yeah, I'll take her up to my room and find her something" Jai answers for me. Gina says ok and Jai starts walking towards the stairs. "Thanks Gina" I yell out whilst following Jai. "No worries hun" She yells back. Well that went well.

"She likes you" Jai says as we walk into his room. "How do you know?" I ask. "I just know she does" He replies, this made me smile, hopefully he is right. I look around his room and I see he has a bunk bed, the bottom half is a double bed and the top is a single bed, I'm guessing him and Luke share a room, seeing as Beau is the oldest so technically he should have his own room.

"Take anything you want to wear" Jai says. I walk over to his wardrobe and have a rummage about, he has really nice clothes. After minutes of rummaging I see a red Hollister jumper, it looks quite cosy. "Can I wear this?" I ask Jai. He turns around and looks at the jumper, a smile appears on his face. "Yeah, that will suit you" He says, causing me to smile. "Thanks" I say. He walks out the room leaving me to get changed.

I get changed and check my phone. I got a text from my mum.

From Mum

Hey hun, how have you been? I'm missing you loads, speak to you soon, love you xxxxxx

Reading this make tears come to my eyes, I miss my mum so much, I didn't want to leave her but it's not like she is alone, she has got my dad and my brother at home still.

To Mum

Hey, I've been good thanks, me and Charlotte have met a couple of friends and they are really nice, we are sleeping round there house tonight, I miss you too, love you lots xxxxx

From Mum

That's good sweetie, speaking to you soon, have fun, love you xxxxx

To Mum

Love you 2 xxxxx

"Knock knock, you decent?" Jai asks standing outside the door. "Yeah" I say, wiping my tears away. "Hey, woah what's wrong?" He asks worryingly whilst coming to sit next to me, he puts his arm around me and I begin to tear up again. Jai notices my tears and pulls me into a big hug. I don't cry much I just let a few tears out. Jai strokes my hair which calms me down, a lot. "Whats wrong?" He asks, he sounds really worried, but I don't want to bore him with my problems. "Nothing, I'm just being stupid" I say, I proberly don't sound convincing. "Come on Aim, you know you can tell me anything right?" He says playing with my hair. I know I haven't known him long but it feels like I have been friends with him for years, I really feel like I can trust him. "I just... I just really miss home, I miss my mum, my dad, my brother and... other people" I cry into his chest. "Can't they come out and visit?" He asks. I shake my head. "They have got so much to look after at home and it's too much money" I moan. "I'm sure they will come out here at one point, please don't cry, lets just say we are your family now, well your Australian family" He says in the most sweetest voice, this makes me smile so much, he can proberly feel me smile into his chest. "Thankyou so much" I say. I pull out of his arms and wipe my years away. "Come on, let's cheer you up" He smiles, I then smile back.

We walk downstairs and everyone is sitting in the living room. "Where's mum?" Jai asks. "She has gone to stay at a friends over night, so we got the house to ourselves" Beau says, the last part his says dancing, we all laugh. I decide to sit down next to Daniel on the sofa. James and Charlotte are cuddling on the arm chair together, I look over to her and we both smile at each other. "Okay let's play dares" Luke screams. Jai sits down next to Beau and gets his phone out, it looks like he is texting someone, I wonder who? Maybe it's his girlfriend? Does he have a girlfriend? "Okay i'll start" Beau says snapping me out of my thoughts. "I dare you to go knock on our neighbors door in just your underwear" Beau says whilst pointing at Daniel, I doubt he will do it, any sane person wouldn't. "Let's do it" Daniel screams whilst taking his shirt and trousers off. "Oh my god Daniel your not actually gonna do it are you?" I ask. He nods then runs out the door. We all follow him at stand in the door way of the Brooks brothers house. Daniel skips along the grass and knocks at the neighbors door. "Hello have you got any milk?" Daniel randomly asks. They don't answer, they just stare at him, so he decides to run back in laughing. He is a funny little boy.

We all walk back into the living room laughing in hysterics. "Well done Daniel" James says. Daniel takes a bow and sticks his clothes back on. We all stop giggling then we tell Daniel it's his turn to choose a dare. "Skip, Come here" Beau demands. Daniel walks over and parks his butt on Beaus lap. Beau whispers something in Daniels ear and they both giggle and agree.

"Aimee I dare you too... kiss Luke" Daniel says giggling. What? They can't expect me to do that. I haven't known him 5 minutes. I look over to Daniel and Beau and give them a death glare and they laugh even more. Luke walks over to me and sits down. I look at him then look at the boys again. "Come on Aimee, it's just a dare, it doesn't mean anything" Beau giggles, I could slap him right now. "Fine" I moan. "Wow am I that ugly" Luke jokes, its nothing personal against Luke, I just don't wanna kiss him just to make them laugh, erg, but I guess they are right, it's jut a dare. Right? I smile at Luke and he smiles back. He leans in tilting his head to the right, I slowly move in to, I look at Luke whose eyes are closed, so I close mine to. Before I know it our lips have met, his cold lip ring hits against my lips and surprising I don't mind, but this isn't me and Luke kissing, it's just a dare.
