Chapter Three

Kellin's Pov

"So your foster brother's back huh?" Gabe asked me as we walked down the sidewalk.

"Yeah, he came back a few days ago." I said to him.

"I bet that must suck for you huh?"

"No, why would it?"

"Well he's like the town whore." Jack said.

"Oh! Has he ever tried to fuck you Kells?" Justin asked me and I scrunched my nose and shook my head.

"Ew no." I told him, "Alan's not like that."

"I bet he'll try eventually."

"Why would he even want to do that?" I asked disgusted, "He's my brother!"

"Probably wouldn't stop him, he fucks anything that moves." Gabe said with a shrug.

"I don't think he would," I mumbled. "Alan's not a hoe."

"Kellin, we all know he's a big whore. Everyone knows."

"He's not as bad as you all think he is."

"But he is."

"He isn't!" I insisted, "You guys just don't know him like I do. Alan's a really great guy, he's just misunderstood."

"He's just misunderstood." He mocked, "No he's not, he just makes stupid decisions."

"Everyone makes stupid decisions." I pushed getting irritated that they all seem to think Alan is some bad person. "And besides, who said having a lot of sex is a bad thing?"

"Everyone says it's a bad thing and maybe he'll see it when he gets AIDS or something."

I just sighed and shook my head, they were never going to listen to me. They had their opinions and they were going to stick with them no matter what I said.

"Maybe you guys should just give Alan a chance. You've never really talked to him before." Austin said.

"Neither have you," Justin pointed out to him.

"I know but I'm not judging him."

"You've never met him, I bet if you did you'd see why everyone thinks he's a whore."

"Well if I ever get to meet him then we'll see what happens."

"You'll just realize that he's a major hoe," Jack told him and I groaned.

"He's not a hoe! He's really great and fun to be around but you all wouldn't know that since you won't even talk to him." I said just as we reached my house, "How about you guys just come in and meet him officially and you'll see that?"

"I think we'll pass on that." Justin said looking at the others.

I shrugged, "Suit yourself," I said and looked at Austin. "Wanna come in?"

"I can't, you know my parents rules about friends during the school week."

"Right, right. I forgot about that," I said. "Well I'm gonna go in, I'll see y'all tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow Kellin." Austin said with a polite smile.

I sent them one last smile before I hurried inside.

"Jane! John," I called looking around. "I'm home."

"They're not here!" Alan called from upstairs.

"Oh," I mumbled and headed to the stairs, to our room.

"They went on a date." He said when I walked in.

"Gotcha, what are you doing in the closet?" I asked nervously as he pushed through all my clothes.
