Chapter 14

Waking up I'll admit that that was the best sleep I've had in ages.

I turn over and don't see Hunter beside me.
Sighing I sit up and immediately notice that something is wrong.

I look around and find out what it was.

I wasn't handcuffed anymore!

I jump outta bed and do a little victory dance before I rush into the bathroom to get myself ready for the day.

I step out of my room and let out a dramatic sigh.
Hunter was Still a no show.

In the hallway I hope the way I remember Chris giving me the first day to the kitchen.

About halfway down I run right into another werewolf -i have finally accepted what I am - and back up and look into a pair of brown eyes.

"You should watch were you're going," he informed me.

I roll my eyes. "Gee thanks like I haven't heard that before," I mumble and go to step around him.

"Hey I didn't mean to be rude I was just trying to help," he frowned and ran his hands through his red hair.

"Oh well anyway -" I stop and study the guy more closely.
"How old are you?" I ask.

He grins."Thirteen," he says proudly.

I try and fail to hold in a giggle at the kid.

"Well uh I gotta go to breakfast," I say and step around him.

He falls into step with me.
"Well my names Kamren," he said and readjusted his glasses.

"Ashley," I stare straight ahead.

He smiled and we didn't speak until we entered the kitchen.

Kamren ran ahead and opened the door for me causing me to smile.

"Thanks but have you seen Hunter?" I ask and sit on a stool at the island.

Kamren shook his head.

"No I haven't seen him since he came out of the gym earlier today," he said and rummaged through the cabinets.

"So what do you want?" He asked and pulled out a box of pancake mix shaking it in the air.

"Sure," I say and turn around as Paige walks in.

She smiled brightly when she saw me.

"Oh my gosh they let you out?" She managed when she wasn't busy staring at me grinning ear to ear.

I nod and pick at a imaginary price of lint on my jeans.
She sat next to me and gazed up at Kamren as he leaned over a bowl mixing in the pancake mix.

"I mean did like alpha Samee let you go or did Hunter-"

"You know how about we switch the subject," I suggested and shot her a glare.

She obliged and didn't say anything else until pancakes were done.
