I sat alone in my new room. It was quite cold, because i now live in Burien, Washington. I moved from a small town in New Mexico. My father ,my only parent, got a job working for Boeing and he helps with designing the paint jobs for the planes. The new surroundings and the longer hours he will work is going to take some time getting used to. I hope in time to learn to love this new place, and all it has to offer me.
My name is Alesandra, but people call me Alice for short. Im a petite girl, of 109 pounds and a five foot one inch height. My hobbies are art and to read. Im not very social, as i have always been shy, but i love to mert new people. Such a contradiction i am, and as you will come to see in the future.
As i stayed alone in my room, my father was downstairs trying to figure out how to turn the heater on, and was planning on making us a small dinner, or so he hoped to try to accomplish. I didn't feel the need to go downstairs and help my father, because i knew he would soon give in and i could ask if we could go to a restraunt. I needed to get some sort of soda in my body, as i am an avid drinker of the stuff. My father does not like my habit of drinking soda though.
The heater suddenly turned on, and the noise scared me! I happened to give out a yelp, but soon calmed down as the thought of fast food came to mind again. My father was walking up the stairs, i could hear his heavy steps. He knocked softly on my door and came in, asking "Do you want to come down stairs and help me unpack our books and make dinner?" his face said it all. He had no idea how to organize the books on the shelves, but he did in fact know how to make a decent dinner. "If i organize all the booms on the shelves, would you go down to the corner store and me a pack of cherry coke?" i asked and gave him a pout. He smiled a bit, as he knew my sly game, and nodded his head. "Thank you!" i yelled and ran down stairs to quickly get to work.
My father walked out the door, bundles for the winter weather, and drove to get me my soda. I was also hoping a burger and fries. We had about 3 large boxes full of books, but only one book shelf. I could only guess as how i was to make them all fit, since we had about five book shelves in New Mexico. I figured i could take all the one ive been wanting to read up to my room and the rest i can store. Thats when i first saw him. A boy about my age, standing in the doorway, watching me kneel on the ground taking out books. My eyed widened and i froze. I could not possibly think that he had been there the whole time, buy i could also not think of why he wasnt dressed like a robber...
He turned away, as i was about to speak. I still could not find words or move. My heart was pounding, it would not stop. Thats the moment that my father walked in and found me. "Are you okay Alice?! You look like you have seen a ghost!" he said, and little did i know that he was right. I had just seen a ghost.
