Chapter 2:

Two Weeks Later:

I woke up to the sun shining through the window. Last night I had a dream I was in the movie Back To The Future; it was so refreshing. Having a dream like that was truly a blessing, and not just because it's a good movie. Because I woke up early enough I was able to leave the house 15 minutes early.

I haven't gotten any notes on my locker since the one. I have kept it in the back of my mind though because of how weird it was. Nobody else knows about the note and I'm keeping it that way. I have noticed something really odd though: every morning and every night a black car passes by my house. When it gets closer to mine it slows down, but it speeds up when it passes the second house over. I haven't told anyone that either.

I drove to Hannah's house in my Coldplay tee-shirt which was covered by my coat, skinny jeans, and sweater boots. I played my Adele CD which brightened my mood even more. When I got to her house her mom waved to me happily while Hannah looked like she would puke at any second.

Hannah walked to the car at a slow, cautious, zombie-like speed. When she got in she looked at me with tired eyes.

“You look the offspring of an ammonia patient and a night of the living dead victim.” She looked at me with annoyed distaste.

She whispered groggily “Are we going to school or what?”

“Yeah I'm not bringing you to school in that state. You're going back to bed.”

“But I have a History test today! I need to go!” I shook my head and got out the car and walked to her side. I opened the door and grabbed her arm. She was too weak to really put up a fight. I gave custody over to her mom and headed back to the car.

I was now 10 minutes ahead of schedule and there was not a lot of people there. I headed into the building anyways looking forward to the silence inside. After I put my stuff in my locker I felt like wandering around a bit. I started a get well soon message to Hannah when I felt my body hit a hard object.

“Oh crap I hope nothing breakable was in those boxes.” I recognize that voice.

“I am so sorry. I was texting Hannah to get well soon, and I wasn't paying attention, and-” he chuckled.

“It's okay. You can make up for that by helping me carry this stuff to my classroom.” I bent down to the ground and grabbed a few of the medium sized boxes and lead the way to his room. Before I could stop myself in front of the door I felt someone bump into me with a bit of force. I turned around to see Mr. Adams smirking slyly at me.

“Now we're even.”

“Last time I checked you owe me. You bumped my shoulder, then I bumped into you, and then you just hit me with those boxes. I say that statistic is 2 to 1.” I moved out of his way so he could unlock the door. My eyes wandered downward while his hand reach for his keys in bis back pocket. I can see what all the fuss about his butt is now-ok I did not just say that. Before he could notice me staring and his glorious rear-I did not say that either. I love being in denial-I looked away.

“Well I consider it even since your's is worth double.” He let me in first and he proceeded in after me.

“How is that double? Each action would be worth one. Apparently you cannot do math sir.” He looked at me and an amused smile crept on his face.
