Abby's POV

"I'm sorry, I think I miss heard you." We had stopped walking close enough to Clint so he could hear what was going on.

"The tests don't lie, Ms. Barton. You and Agent Barton are brother and sister." I didn't want to believe what the doctor was saying.

"Do the test again." This time it was Agen Barton talking. He had moved from where he was leaning against the wall and decided to join our conversation.

"But sir, the test-"

"Do another one!" Clint growls out.

"Yes, sir." The doctor sits me down in a chair and draws more blood. We wait in awkward silence for her to come back.

"According to this test, you two are brother and sister. The tests don't lie."

"Let me see that." I grabbed the results out of her hands, but before I had the chance to look at them, Mr. Barton ripped them out of my hands.

"I'm calling Bruce down here. He will run the test." Mr. Barton pulled out his phone and stepped away from me and the Doctor.

"Do you have a copy of the results I could see?" I asked patiently.

"Of course. Wait here, I will be right back." The doctor quickly walked away and came back a few minutes later.

"Thank you," I said kindly. I took the results out of her hands and looked through them. She was right, according to the test we were related.

"Clint, what do you need? It sounded urgent on the phone." A middle-aged man with black hair walked into the room.

"I need you to perform a DNA test on her," Mr. Barton said pointing at me from where he stood. He was glaring at me.

"Sure," the man walks over to me. "Hello, my name is Dr. Bruce Banner. If you could follow me please Ms.?"

"Abigail Barton," I said hesitantly.

His eyebrows raise slightly with my last name, but he doesn't say anything. I follow him back into one of the exam rooms. I hop up on the table and roll up the sleeve of my scrubs for the third time. I never had the chance to change out of my scrubs last night.

"I could have done this out there, but Clint would have been breathing down my neck the entire time. I noticed the scrubs, where do you work?" Dr. Banner asked as he got everything ready.

"I work at the hospital."

"As a nurse?"

"No, I'm actually the head of general surgery."

"Wow, impressive." He sounded genuinely impressed.

"Thanks, I really like it." I smiled at him. He smiled back. He finished taking the blood and put it into the machine. We waited for the results in silence.

"Well, you and Clint are most definitely related" He looked at me "but you already knew that."

"They have checked twice already," I answered sheepishly.

"What?"

"Yeah." I looked down at my hands.

"Well, we should probably go back out there and let them know the results of the third test." Dr. Banner offered a reassuring smile. We walk out to where Mr. Barton was standing. I followed behind Dr. Banner.

"What are the results?" Mr. Barton asked impatiently.

"The same as the other two results. You and Ms. Barton are related."
