Abby's POV

I check on Clint periodically throughout the night, but he was asleep every time. I was thankful for that. I didn't wasn't sure what I would have said to him if he was awake. Natasha was always with him, never leaving his side. She never slept either, just held his hand, and occasionally would brush a piece of hair out of his face. His hair was longer now and reached his nose.

"Will he be ok?" Natasha asked quietly. It was around 6 in the morning and I had come to dress his wound.

"He should be fine," I assured."Will he be able to train, and go on missions?"

"Not right away, but hopefully he will be back to his usual self in just a few short months." I wasn't sure how fast Clint was going to heal, but I was hoping for a fast recovery.

Natasha just nodded her head. She went back to staring at Clint's face.

I quietly left the room, not wanting to disturb them. They both looked so soft. They had shed their hard and stone cold exterior, leaving a vulnerability I have never seen from either of them.

I came back a few hours later. The rest of the team had decided to stop by and bring Natasha some food since she hasn't left the room.

I knock on the door before entering, a habit from the hospital. I pushed open the door to find the entire team sitting in chairs, and an awake Clint staring at me.

"You're up? When did this happen? Are you in pain? Do you need anything?" I fired off questions faster than he could answer.

"I'm fine. Can I leave this horrible room now?" Clint was back to his bitter self.

"Not yet, I have to check to make sure you are ok." I wasn't going to let him push me around like he has so many times before.

"I feel fine."

"I need to look over your wound and then I will think about allowing you to leave, but you are not driving!"

"Since when were you the person in charge here? Someone go get me a doctor."

"I was the one who operated on you, so I am the one who is in charge of your release and care."

"Natasha, go get a different doctor please," Clint ordered.

"Clint, Abby has done a great job. She is a very good doctor and I trust her. I gave her permission to operate on you, which went against Fury's orders. Just let her do her thing, so we can get out of here and get back to the tower," Natasha urged.

"I am a very good doctor, but if you want someone else, I can get someone else. I can't go against your wishes."Clint took a deep breath. "It's fine," He grumbled.

A huge smile came upon my face. "Wonderful! Hopefully, everything looks fine and I will have you out of here shortly." I check him over. "How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Tired."

"Any pain?"

"No, not right now."

"That's good. You should probably take a short rest before you are moved."

"Sleeping again, Barton?" Tony joked.

"Haha, very funny Stark. You can laugh when you get shot in the stomach. I kept having this weird dream that Abby was there fighting with Natasha, but that was just a dream. It was weird though, it felt real."

"Um, that was real. I went with to get you back." I wasn't sure how Clint was going to react, but I was hoping for the best.

"YOU DID WHAT? WHO LET YOU GO? YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THAT! DO YOU KNOW HOW INCREDIBLY STUPID AND DANGEROUS THAT WAS! HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID!" Clint had sat up and started yelling at me. I was surprised.
