-Next Day-
"Marcey! Wake up, we have to leave in an hour," banging on my door woke me up.
"I'm up, I'm up," I called out, realizing it was Grace. Seeing how it was, in fact, 12 p.m. I yawned and got out of bed.
Shooting a text to Kieren quickly, I grinned seeing Marks contact name up, and rolled my eyes at his cheesy text. Responding quickly, telling him I'd have a mini surprise later, hoping he was trying to sleep now, I hurried and began getting ready.
Firstly putting in my contact lenses, I skimmed my closet, looking for a simple outfit. Grabbing my black, ripped, cut-off shorts I slipped into them, and took out a short sleeved, plain white t-shirt. Removing my bracelets, I ignored all the scars, and grabbed my oversized, black, 'boyfriend' cardigan, I slipped it on and walked towards the bathroom.
"Marcey!" Looking down and seeing Kylie, I grinned and got down to her height.
"Good Morning Kylie," I grinned. "What are you up to?"
"Getting toys," she smiled. "Me and Leila are playing."
"I see," opening my arms up. "Can I have a hug before you go? It'll wake me up more." As Kylie hugged me, I giggled and wrapped my arms around her small body. "Thank you sweetie, now go play."
As she scurried off downstairs, I finally reached the bathroom, brushing my teeth, and hair before putting light eye makeup on. Sighing as I picked up random pieces of hair, I remembered the hair dye I had gotten at the mall, and made plans to dye my hair tonight. However, until then, I threw my light brown hair up into a messy ponytail, making sure my bangs were down.
"You get ready fast," Grace stated, pausing and looking into the bathroom for a second. "Contacts?"
"Yeah," I answered. "Didn't feel like glasses today. Also, would you like me to text you Kierens' address?"
As she gave me a thumbs and walked off, I left and walked down to the kitchen. Taking an apple from the basket, I grabbed a water and went to the living room where Kylie and Leila were playing on the floor. Plopping myself on the floor, I took a bite from my apple.
"Leila," I called out. Looking at me, she smiled, and I opened up my arms, which she immediately walked towards and gave me a hug. "Thank you, now go play." Smiling after receiving my hug, I let her go play with her sister, and finished my apple.
"Marce," Grace called, walking into the living room. "My dad just pulled up, ready?"
"Oh yeah," I responded, standing up and running to grab my bag, wallet, phone, and shoes. Quickly slipping my black flip flops on, I threw my bag on my shoulder, unplugged my phone and ran downstairs.
"Have fun girls," Mr. Tuan smiled.
"Be good for grandpa girls," Grace called back inside the house.
Walking towards her car, I hopped in shot gun, as she took the drivers seat. Car started, we were heading to Rens before we'd go to the tattoo parlor.
-----
"Marcey Phillips," someone called. "Ah there you are, so let's get over here and start discussing your tattoo. Did you have something in mind or?"
As she kept talking, I took in all her features. Sleeve tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, a stereotypical tattoo artist appearance. She kept cracking jokes every now and then, probably noting my tense and nervous state.
"Um yeah, I was wondering if you could do the outline of the continents," I asked, clicking the picture. "And then 'wanderlust' in cursive font like encasing in the bottom, arching upward if that makes sense. I was hoping to do it on my wrist, if that's possible and if not then on my forearm?"
