Chapter 6

I woke up the next morning to rain. I sighed and got up. I loved the rain, but sometimes, I just wish it was sunny. 

I did my usual routine of going downstairs, eating cereal, and then going back upstairs to change. I didn't talk to anyone because I was to tired to put forth the effort. I got dressed, and then walked downstairs and slumped onto the couch, giving a really loud sigh.

"Are you ready for school, lillypad?" I immediately smiled up at Paul, who stood there shirtless in a pair of shorts. His hair was soaking wet, so I knew he had been running. "Are you taking me?" I asked excitedly. He nodded and I grinned. "Yes!" 

"Hey, don't forget, your going to the twins house, today after school, alright?" Nicole said, appearing next to Paul. 

"Oh! I need to ask, first. Mommy, daddy, can I go to Allie and Cassie Swan's house today after school?" 

They looked at each other and then looked at Paul. They all nodded at the same time, and I raised my eyebrows as if to ask, what am I missing?" 

"I guess, only if you promise to be careful! If you get another bump like that, then your not going to be allowed to hang out with anyone, do you understand me?" I looked straight into my mommy's eyes and nodded. "Yes, ma'am. 

"You need to tell them everything, alright? Promise you will tell them what happened to me, about vampires, about shapeshifters, your ability... me." Nicole started to cry so I couldn't refuse.

"Lets talk about this at school." I took my backpack and walked towards the door. "Have a good day at work mommy, daddy. Everyone else, too! Bye!" I took Pauls hand and went outside to his car with him.

"Are you, uh... talking to the dead girl?" Paul asked awkwardly. We were half way to the school and I've been talking to Nicole the whole way there, about her family, life, school, anything possible to talk about. "Nicole? Yeah. She thinks your cute!" I told him, smiling.

"Lilly! Your not soposed to tell!" She was giggling, in the backseat. "It's not like he can see or hear you, so its gonna be alright."  We were almost to school when Nicole dissapeared. 

"Paul, do you go to school?" I asked him, randomly. "Uh, no. I don't." He scratched his head, nervously. "How old are you?" He looked straight ahead and answered, "18, but I don't age. Until I stop shifting." I was facinated.

"Tomorrow, can we hang out after school? Since today I'm going to the twins house?" Paul gave me a look filled with something that I couldn't begin to understand. "Yes."

He pulled up to school and I got out of his truck, grabbing my backpack. "Thanks for taking me to school, Paul." I smiled at him and turned around quickly when I heard my name. "LILLIAN!" I was pushed into a bear hug.

Judging from the size of the person, I was thinking it was Jaycob. I gave him a hug right back but was quickly jerked into someone elses strong, muscular chest. Wait, shirtless. Paul. I thought kinda angry that he jerked me away from Jaycob and then kinda Happy that I was in his arms. 

"What are you doing?" I asked, going with the angry side. It was then that I realized that Paul was protecting me, and not to metion he was shaking like crazy, and his vains were popping out. I hugged him tight. "Paul, please calm down. That's Jaycob, the guy who saved me yesterday. 

Paul slowly stopped shaking and then I pulled away and looked at Jaycob. He wasn't as big as Paul but was close. "Jaycob, this is my best friend, Paul. Paul, this is my friend, Jaycob." 

They just stared at each other and then Paul got back into his truck. "I'll see you tomorrow, Lillypad." He then left, speeding away.

"What the hell just happened?" Jaycob asked, confused.

I know this is extremely short, BUT I have a reason. I had typed out, three VERY long chapters for this story and then I let my sisters friend on my laptop and she crashed it, erasing EVERYTHING. 

I was so pissed, -_- .
