A sudden breeze rushed through my room, waking me up from the unexpected cold. I guess it's what you should expect if you leave the window open, especially in the freezing months of winter. I turned over in my bed, reaching for my phone on the bedside table. Before I could turn it on, I noticed a florecent pink post it note attached to the back. 'Me and Phil have gone into town, we won't be long -Dan' I read out loud, surprised they had got up so early. I scrolled through instagram, seeing my feed filled with gorgeous women, all of which probably had millions of men chasing after them from sheer beauty. The likely-hood of that happening to me was about 0/100, considering I couldn't even make one man happy enough to stay with me. I strode into the kitchen, deciding to skip breakfast and just have a cup of coffee, despite my grumbling stomach ready to devour the nearest piece of food. The boys soon came back, hands full of bags from random shops. Both Dan and Phil entered my room, bags still in hand despite not even asking if they could go in. "Guys?" I asked curious as to why they are in my bedroom.
"We got you some presents to make you feel better" Phil said as Dan put the last of the shopping bags on my bed.
"Are they seriously all for me?" I questioned in shock, grateful for everything they've done for me.
"Yup" Dan replied, a cheeky smile smothering his face as they both watched a questioning glare turn into a huge grin.
"Guys you didn't have to, really" I said, running up to both boys, both arms open and ready for a hug.
"Its a pleasure, y/n" Dan smirked, looking at the mountain of newly bought clothes.
Dans sweet eyes sparkled in the light, dimples emerging from the smile spread across his face from my reaction to his and Phil's good deed. His cute smile showed the most amazingly white teeth, his cheeks raised from the happiness beaming from his face. He was just perfect. "Y/n?" Phil asked, snapping me out of my daydream of admiring Dan, earning a curious look from both boys. I chuckled awkwardly, trying to distract them from the obvious stare i had given Dan. "Shall we get pizza?" Dan asked, obviously brushing away what just happened.
"Yeah" me and Phil agreed, despite me knowing I don't want to eat it. It'll just make me put on even more weight, if that's even possible. My smile wavered, the boys leaving as I looked through the countless amount of clothes from my two best friends. The things they bought me we're beautiful and comfortable, they had known me too long for them not to know what I liked in a pair of jeans. After a good 45 minutes of putting the new purchases away I joined both boys in the living room, both eating pizza whilst watching death note. "Do ya want a slice y/n?"Phil asked, expecting a massive yes go sidering my unconditional love of pizza. "No I'm good thanks" I replied, reaching for water at the same time as Dan. Our hands touched as both of us shared eye contact, staying put for a long time until we were interupted by Phil's loud coughing. We both turned around to Phil staring at us, a smirk on his face as our hands slowly moved back to the normal position, butterflies nearly flying out of stomach. Phil left, refilling his glass of coke. I snuggled up to Dan, him wrapping his hand around my waist as I snuggled my nose into his collar protectively eventhough he has no intrest in me being more than a friend.

Me and y/n's hands met, sending a wave of butterflies through my belly, causing me to look up at the beautiful face i have to call my best friend. Even if I don't think of her in that way, she's more than that. Her stunning e/c eyes sparkled in the slowly dimming light. Her smile was beautiful, despite her clearly trying to as sorry for touching my hand. Snap out of it Dan, I repeated in my head. She will never love you in this way.

I turned to the door as Phil 're joined our tv marathon, revealing a face of surprise when he was us cuddled on the sofa. He simply ignored it,  assuming it was a close friendship thing that is perfectly normal I our eyes. Both me and Dan fell asleep, basically spooning on the sofa as Phil continued to watch death note. Dan pulled me closer as I opened my eyes to see Phil slightly smirking at Dan, as if he'd achieved something. Phil left the room, not knowing i was awoken mby his chuckles. I slowly drifted to sleep, Dan's hands still wrapped around my waist.
