my excuse for not updating is: I hate myself. There really is no excuse. But I love you guys! Coming up on the end.
_______________________________I bounced on my heels, my stomach was turning over and over again. I sipped some water hoping it would help. It didn't.
I cleared my throat wishing Harry would hurry up, if he didn't I feared I would change my mind and just go to bed.
"There is no way that cloak is gonna fit around all of us!" I exclaimed.
"Would you stop worrying Amelia!" Ron said with an eye roll. I looked at him hard from out of the corner of my eye, at this moment I felt like hitting him.
Suddenly Harry came stumbling down the stairs. "We'd better put the Cloak on here, and make sure it covers all four of us-if Filch spots one of our feet wandering along on its own-"
"What are you doing?" Spoke a voice from the darkness. I jolted back as Neville appeared from behind an armchair.
"Nothing Neville, absolutely nothing." Harry said, hurriedly hiding the cloak behind his back.
"Your going out again," he said with finality.
"No, no, no." Hermione had an edge to her voice. "Neville why don't you go to bed?" I just watched silently, maybe this was a sign that we shouldn't be going through with this.
"You can't go out p-please." Neville started stuttering. "You'll be caught again and then Gryffindor will be in even more trouble." He had a point. I wouldn't want to be response for making Gryffindor lose any more points.
"You don't understand, this is important."
Neville began rapidly shaking his head, I saw the determination in his eyes. "I won't let you do it." He leaped for the door. "I'll fight you!" I flinched when Ron exploded.
"Neville! Get out of the way!" I tried to hide my smile as Neville got into a fighting stance.
"Why are you laughing?! Go on! Hit me! You guys are the ones who told me to stand up to people!" No solutions were coming to mind on how to get him out of the way and I definitely was not going to fight Neville.
"Do something," Harry desperately said to Hermione. She winced as if she always planned out what she was gonna do.
"Neville I'm really sorry about this.."
Oh no that did not sound good. I stepped back deciding I would play no part in what she was about to do. She raised her wand and cried out, "Petrificus Totalus!"Nevilles arms snapped to his sides, his legs sprang together. His whole body went rigid and he collapsed to the floor. Me and Hermione scrambled to his side and turned him over so he could breathe.
"What did you do?" Ron asked in exasperation.
"A full body binding spell, oh Neville I'm so very sorry." She said miserably.
Harry threw the cloak around him and they started to exit. I leaned down looking into Neville's horrified eyes, I hated to leave him like this. "You'll understand later." I promised stroking his cheek.
I quickly ran to catch up with the others, wedging my way under the cloak.
The trip to the third floor corridor wasn't that eventful. I had to convince Ron not to kick Mrs. Norris, and Harry pretended to be a ghost. When we reached our destination, the door was already ajar. "Well there we are," Harry started begrudgingly.
