《Thank you for reading! I really do appreciate it》
Three days without food or water and my body is not thanking me for having malnutrition. My stomach aches food constantly and my throat feels likes it's on fire. I've been sick three times because of the dangerous gasses.
Even when I was alpha, I didn't make my prisoners go through this. I made sure they had food and water and a mattress to sleep on. How could someone be so cruel. Not only do I not have food and water but I have also been whipped several times by the devil himself, Caspian. I couldn't wait to get out of here and beat his ass. He was no mate to me.
After another hour of waiting around, Caspian came. "I hope you have learned your lesson bitch."
"Listen up. I don't know who you think you are but all I know is that I can help you and you can help me. If you let me see Clayton and let me go then I will give you the pack and the territory. Isn't that what you want?" I was done playing games and I was done with everything. I was going to find out what he was hiding whether I have to lie or not.
"I don't want your stupid pack. They're worthless to me," he dangled the keys in his hands.
"Then what do you want?" I continued.
"I want access to your father's files," his voice was seriously scaring me.
"Why would you-" he cut me off.
He became more angry than he already was, "none of your business is why. Do we have a deal or not?!"
"Yes," I sigh.
"Okay then I'll let you go once you get me that file," after seeing my fake doubtfull face he continued, "and I promise I'll let you see your boy toy." I felt uncomfortable that he just called Clayton my boy toy. What does that even fucking mean? I didn't let that get in the way of my amazing acting though. I whipped up an appreciative smile and left the cell finally.
"I'll get the file to you by noon," respond and walked away. He grabbed my arm but quickly let go because of the mate bond.
"Do I look stupid to you?" As much as I wanted to say yes you look stupider than a monkey's ass, I shook my head no. "You'll get me the file now!"
"But I need food. I feel like I'm gonna pass out."
"Fine!" He ran to another cell, picked up a plate with the food already rotting and shoved it in my face.
"I've lost my appetite," I answer truthfully.
"Why do you have to be so greedy?!" After thinking about the situation a little bit longer he flashed a wicked grin. "Actually since you're so ungrateful you must eat the food."
"No way," I shoved it away from my face.
He slammed the food on the ground, "if you don't eat then
you won't be able to see Clayton.""If you don't take me to the kitchen then you won't get that file," I crossed my arms and stared daggers into his eyes
He wasn't affected by my threat, "I've got all day princess."
I had to be clever, "so do I. Did you forget that I waited three days in that damn cell?"
Caspian took a minute to process what I had just said, "fine but don't be expecting some home cooked meal or something."
I ran upstairs to the kitchen followed by a grumpy Caspian. I made a quick sandwich and devoured it in nearly seconds. "You're done, let's go," he says.
I slowly opened my door to the room. As soon as Caspian entered I shut the door so we could have some privacy. "Where is it?" He forcefully asked while looking around.
"I don't know," I confess and start looking around aswell. I opened the file cabinet and pulled out my dad's file. I had never read it and I knew that if Caspian wanted it, it must have been important. I held it out for him to take.
He snatched the file and started reading over it, I noticed that he had a phone in his back pocket. I had to get that phone and the file away from him and I only knew one way to do that.
"Hey Caspian," I smiled reaching for him and using the mate bond to my advantage. I was able to distract him enough to grab his phone, after running my hands down his chest. Then I quickly grabbed the file and closed the door.
When I was in the cell I realized that the key I had found was a skeleton key for the house. I locked the door but I knew it would only be a matter of time before he just broke down the door. I had to move fast before that happened. I found a quiet room so I could read the file.
I opened the file and I would have never expected it to be this serious. There was pictures of werewolves shifting for the first time and under all that there was some lab samples. My father... he was looking for an antidote for werewolves to turn back into humans?! I kept scrolling over the information, indulging it all in at once.
I read over his journal notes:
Day one of testing. The subject has high temperature and a cold but no cure of the disease. Needs further testing. What disease?! What was I reading? Was my dad really trying to make werewolves human?! I read more and more.
Week three of testing. The subject has finally started responding to the substances. The subject has regained his strength and is functioning. The disease is not in the werewolf anymore.
Week seven. The subject has made sufficient progress but has become more human than werewolf. Further testing is needed.
That was the last journal entry and there is also step by step how to make the antidote. What doesn't make sense is that Caspian wanted this file. Why would he want an antidote to become human? I needed more answers but I didn't have them. All I knew was that my father tried to make a cure for a werewolf disease but something went wrong and they became human. Why would my dad keep this a secret from me? Who was he hiding this file from? Could he possibly know that Caspian was looking for it?
