I pulled out Caspian's phone and read all the text messages. Most of them were pretty normal but I did find messages to an unknown caller ID. Most of the messages were deleted but I did find one message. It said, "take the potion and it will make her think she is you're mate. The location is 587 east of the mountains. Get there before dark Caspian and delete this text message. -T"
That was my location and Caspian was not my mate! That asshole lied to me! Well I should have known better, why would I get such an idiot as a mate. Well at least this mean that the moon goddess doesn't hate my guts. I still had to find out who T was so I can find out why these people want my dad's file but if I was going to do that, I was going to need some help.
I ran to the main area where most of the pack is. I folded the file and shoved it in my pocket with Caspian's phone. "Hey can you help me?" I asked a pack warrior.
"What are you doing here?" She whispered.
I looked at her as if she just told me that she was a leprechaun. "What do you mean why am I here. I live here."
"Like why are you outside. I thought you were in the dungeon for going crazy because Clayton left you," she shrugged and continued to talk to get friends.
"You got a lot of nerve to talk to your alpha like that," I crossed my arms and used my dominance.
She didn't even flinch, "but your not our alpha anymore. Caspian is."
Caspian as an alpha of my own pack?! I must be hearing this wrong. "What! Tell me everything you know or at least what lies Caspian told you."
"He told us that you rejected him as a mate and that you threw yourself at Clayton," I scoffed and then waited for her to continue. "Anyways, he said that you had to go to jail because you went crazy and broke his arm."
"Well that is not all true. So don't believe anything he has to say," I turned around and decided to call Clayton for help. The phone rang for a long time until he finally picked up.
He seemed tired when he picked up, "Caspian I already told you that I left. Stop calling me already. She's yours okay. I won't bother her anymore..."
"Clayton it's me Aria!" I smiled through the phone.
"Are you serious? Are you okay? What's wrong? What happened? Where are you? I'm coming to get you right now. I'm already tired of not seeing you. I miss you. I need you," his voice was filled with desperation.
I couldn't help but get emotional when I spoke to him. The one I truly loved. "I miss you too and I need your help. Caspian is not my mate. It's a long story so maybe we could just meet up so I can explain to you in person. It's not safe speaking to you at the pack house. We'll have to meet somewhere else," I avoided telling him the whole thing about my dad because I felt like it wasn't safe enough. Oddly, I felt like I was being watched.
"Of course. Where do we meet?" Clayton asked but I didn't answer. I was too busy trying to find out who was watching me. I turned around and saw someone staring right at me. She had strawberry blonde hair and pale skin. She was wearing all black and glasses. Her blue eyes widened when she saw me and she mumbled something into a small pocket radio. "Aria?" I had totally forgotten Clayton was still on the other line.
I turned my heel and started walking the opposite direction. "Yeah actually I'm gonna need a few more days to investigate before you come down."
"No way Aria. If you're in danger then I'm coming with you. I want to be there with you Aria. Listen to me-" I shushed him and then I took over.
"No you listen Clayton. I can't let my problems get you hurt. I'm in no state to lose another person I love. Now stay where you're at and don't come looking for me. I'll call you if I need you. I can promise you that. I love you and goodbye," I hung up the phone and turned around to see if that girl was following me.
Like I suspected, she was and she was catching up to me. I couldn't switch into my wolf or I would lose the phone and file. I took a quick turn around the corner and ran up ahead. The forest was close and it would be easy to lose her in the woods. I ran fast but she was faster and caught up to me. Before I knew it she had me down on the ground. She held a crow black gun to my head and motioned for me to stand up.
I did as I was told and she led me to a car. "Get in," she gave me a cold look. I got in the car and noticed that it was a police car.
"You've got to be kidding me. Am I being arrested?" I gave her an innocent look.
She filed her eyes at me, "no you're just being questioned." I sighed and she shut the door forcefully. "It's too dangerous here to talk. I'll bring you to an area which we can talk."
"Okay," I breathed in and out trying to calm my nerves. My nose flared up when I smelt the oh so familiar scent that I hated so much. "Drive!" I demanded.
"We have to wait to get the signal."
"Drive now! Someone is coming for me and he has more power than you could ever imagine. Now drive please or let me out," I roared. I shrieked when I saw Caspian storm out of the house. "Shit he's here!"
"Caspian has been let out. I repeat Caspian has been let out," she spoke into her radio and drove faster than I've ever seen in my life.
"You know him?" When we were far enough I finally asked.
She nodded her head, "Yes, he is a wanted criminal. He works for an organization that kills werewolves. How do you know him?"
"He's my mate. Well not exactly anymore. It's just a long story," I sighed.
"You can tell me anything you'd like," she replied. I knew I couldn't trust her because as soon as she said that, she pressed a button on her radio. I'm guessing that she started recording to get some information out of me.
"I would not like to be recorded please. If you really want me to tell you....you're going to have to trust me and turn your radio off and all the cameras."
She shook her head and turned it off. Then I told her everything I knew. From when Clayton left me to when I was kidnapped. Hopefully I can trust her or else I don't know what would happen to me.
