-----That is from such a funny video!!!!------
It took Bucky a while, but he finally tracked Natasha down. She had been talking to Maria Hill and Fury.
"Nat, we have an update from Bruce." Said Bucky as he ran over to them.
"What did he say?" asked Maria.
"He said that he is remotely monitoring the computer, and that it shouldn't take him long to be able to control it and find out where the signal came from."
"That's great news." said Natasha. She turned back to Fury. "We can talk more about this later." He nodded, and he and Maria left.
"What had you all been talking about?" asked Bucky.
"Nothing. I'm going on a mission soon, and they were briefing me on it."
"What kind of a mission is it?"
"Can't say. It's top secret. That's why I had them leave."
"You realize that I'm not some sort of a threat, right? It's not like my arm has some sort of a listening device on it. Hydra is not a part of me anymore. I thought you trusted me."
"I do trust you, but we have to be careful. Until we get (Y\N) back, we need to keep our wits about us. It's better that you don't know about my mission. I shouldn't have mentioned it at all." She started to walk away, but Bucky's words stopped her.
"Will your mission stop you from coming with us to rescue (Y\N)?" She was silent.
"Yes, they will. I will be gone." She paused for a moment. "I'm sorry." she said quietly before she left. Bucky sighed and thought about the situation. Sure, he and Steve could probably rescue you without help, but back up never hurt, especially when the situation had to do with Hydra. He considered his other options.
There was no way that, after their recent attempts to "teach James the lessons of life" that Bucky was going to trust Thor and Clint to help rescue you. Bruce couldn't help with the recon mission since he was still in Alaska. Now that Natasha was giving Bucky the Winter Shoulder, there was only one person left.
Did you expect for me to say Tony? The thought had crossed his mind, but it had been overshadowed by the thought of someone else (no matter how small his shadow would be compared with anyone else). Bucky had recently heard about a new superhero. One who was supposedly amazing at stealing things. If he could steal things, why couldn't he help steal, I don't know, a person? A person who was, per-say, you?
Bucky ran to Steve's office, where Steve and James were still sitting on the floor playing. Bucky walked over to Steve's desk, took a phone book out of the drawer, and opened it, looking for one name in particular. He stopped his finger when he found it. He picked up the phone and dialed the number, Steve questioning him the whole time. Finally someone answered.
"Hello?" the person on the line said.
"Yes, is Mr. Lang home?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
A few hours later, Jarvis contacted Steve and Bucky. They had been sitting on your and Bucky's floor watching TV with James when Jarvis told them about the arrival.
"Excuse me, Mr. Barnes, but there are some men here to see you. One says that his name is Scott Lang, and that you called for him. He said that the other man is a friend of his. Should I let them up?"
"Yeah, Jarvis, thanks. Let them up."
"Why won't you just tell me about this master plan of yours?"
"I want it to be a surprise. I don't know who he would have brought with him. I only called him." The elevator doors opened to reveal two men. One was a black man wearing sunglasses and a leather jacket, and the other was a white man wearing a gray t-shirt and a blue baseball hat.
"Mr. Barnes?" asked the man in the hat. "I'm Scott Lang. I'm sorry about the fact that I'm not alone, but my friend insisted on coming with me. This is Sam Wilson. He's also 'super'."
"I'm James Barnes, but please, call me Bucky. This is my friend Steve Rogers."
"It's a pleasure to meet you both. It's an honor, Captain." Said Scott as he shook Steve's hand.
"Mr. Lang. Mr. Wilson." He said as he shook their hands.
"Please call me, Sam. Mr. Wilson is my father."
"So, why did you call me?" asked Scott.
"As I told you on the phone, I have a problem. My wife was abducted a few weeks ago by Hydra. I assume you know about Hydra?"
"Aren't they the freaks that were trying to take over the world during World War Two?" said Sam. Steve laughed.
"I like you, Sam. Having fought them, I can say that that is a very accurate description of them."
"So you need help getting your wife back?" said Scott.
"Exactly." said Bucky. "We already have someone working on determining her location, but when the time comes, we are going to need help breaking in to the Hydra base, finding her location, and safely getting out with everyone alive. Does that sound like something you would be willing to help with?"
"I'm in." said Sam. "I know I'm not the one you called for, but I would be willing to help."
"Would you be of use?" asked Bucky.
"Oh, he's good. I'm in, but he'd be a good asset to have if I were you." said Scott.
"You good in combat?" asked Steve.
"I like to think so. Usually I don't think to ask those I'm fighting if they are enjoying the experience. I'd ask afterwards, but they are usually either dead or passed out." said Sam. Steve snickered.
"Well, I would be very appreciative of you both if you would be willing to help Steve and I get (Y\N) back." James walked over to the couch and chairs where they had been sitting. He had been hiding from the strangers until he heard them mention getting you back. He walked over to the front of the chair where Bucky was sitting. He put his arms up so that Bucky would pick him up.
"Cute kid." said Sam.
"Thanks." said Bucky as James got settled on his lap.
"When do you plan on rescuing her? Or do you not know yet?" asked Scott.
"We don't know yet. Why, do you have another gig coming up?"
"My daughter's birthday is coming up. I just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't conflict. She'd be sad if I had to miss it, but I guess that helping rescue your wife would constitute as a good excuse for missing a party filled with screaming children who have had too much sugar." They all laughed, and Steve stood up.
"I am going to go and see if Bruce emailed me back. I'll be back in a few minutes."
"Mind if I come with you?" said Sam.
"No, I don't mind." said Steve.
"Bruce? He wouldn't happen to be talking about the Bruce Banner, would he?"
"The same one. Why?"
"I'm a big fan. Do you think I may be able to meet him sometime?"
"I don't think he'd mind. He's not here right now. He's on a research trip right now in Alaska. Tony had been there with him, but he came back early. Something about it being too cold." Bucky took James off of his lap and stood up.
"Do you want something to drink?"
"Tony? As in Stark? A part of me wants to meet him, but then another part of me remembers Hank Pym's number one rule: Don't trust a Stark. What's he like? I've always wondered." Scott got up and followed Bucky to the kitchen.
"Oh, do I have some stories to tell you! Who's this Hank Pym guy? He sounds smart."
