You all walked down the halls searching for Pierre's bunker, or at least a guard who could lead you to it. You walked side by side with Bucky, your arm in his. You felt stronger than you had the entire time that you had been captured. You rested your head on his shoulder for a moment, and he turned and kissed the top of your head. Sam made a small barfing noise, and you both laughed. That was the first of many laughs that the two of you would share after your rescue.

You all finally found a guard around the corner from you being cautious as he closed a door that sealed behind him. Scott and Steve burst around the corner and took him down. The large door required a retinal scan, so Sam held the guard's eye open as Steve held him up against the scanner. A green light turned on above the scanner, and Scott easily opened the door.

"Don't any of you have a spare gun?" You asked. Bucky was speechless. You used to hate violence. Steve pulled a gun out of a holster and handed it to you. You nodded towards him and approached the door.

There was a set of stairs directly inside the door. You all headed down them after Bucky demanded that he lead the group. You were right behind him. There was a door at the bottom of the stairs. It wasn't a heavily secured door, but just a plain one that you'd expect to see in a house or someplace like that. You were all suspicious since the door wasn't guarded at all. Bucky looked at you all for a moment before opening the door.

Inside, there was a simple room set up like an apartment. There was a small kitchen, a table, a bed that folded down from the wall, a couch, and a small, old television set. The television set had a VCR connected to it, and a VHS was playing. It was a news report talking about an assassination in 1991. Bucky sighed and looked to the ground. You put your hand on his shoulder and looked to Steve. He was shaking his head. He walked over to the television to turn it off when everyone heard a voice.

"Don't turn it off. They are about to talk about you, Winter. They are going to call you the greatest assassin of the 20th century." Pierre's eyes looked bloodshot. Bucky shifted around so that he was standing in front of you. It was a noble move, even though he knew you could protect yourself.

"You're insane, Pierce" Said Steve. Pierce laughed, but it sounded more like a cackle.

"Your time is up." You said from behind Bucky. Bucky turned and stared at you. "You have cost not just us, but the world great sorrow. First you took my husband, then you took my son, and now you have me, but not for much longer. You will never hurt me or my boys ever again." Pierce cackled again. You pulled out the gun that Steve had given you.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Said Pierce gesturing towards the gun. "If you kill me know, you'll be murdering me in cold blood. I have no weapons and no guards now since I assume you took out the one who left a few minutes ago. If you kill me, my death will haunt you for the rest of your..." Boom. Pierce slumped to the floor. You dropped the gun and exited the room.

"Never again." You said quietly as you left.

There was silence in the Quinjet on the way home. Bucky had tried to get you to talk about what had happened, but you were silent. You just looked up at him with sad eyes and put a hand up to his cheek. He put his hand on yours and held your hand in place. He leaned over and you rested your foreheads against each other's. You stayed like that for the majority of the ride home. You both enjoyed the tenderness of the moment and loved being in each other's presence once more.

You finally broke the silence when you all were relatively close to the tower.

"So, who are the two who helped you rescue us?" You asked Bucky. He looked up.
