Claiming Eliza

Cassius wakes me up by plopping on the bed and I groan. Looking out one of the windows I notice it's dark out.

"Did I miss dinner?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. I notice a tray on the nightstand filled with food. "I was only going to sleep for 20 minutes! Were your parents upset?"

"No, they were fine. They understood." I sigh and stare up at the ceiling.

"Eliza," Cassius says. "Feral wolves have broken through the East Pack, they requested assistance. I have to go help for a few weeks."

"Weeks?" My voice cracks and I get a little worried. What if he gets hurt? "I'm going with you right?" He closes his eyes and shakes his head.

"I can't put you in danger. You will be safer here." He states. "Alano, my beta, will care for you. I don't want to leave you, but if the Feral a don't get stopped they with make their way north, to us."

I get up to sit. Tears sting the back of my eyes. "When will you be leaving?" I understand that he is doing what is best but a selfish part of me wants him to stay.

"Tomorrow night." He mumbles, placing his hand on my stomach. "Lay down with me, Eliza."

A tear slips down my cheek and I nestle myself in his arms. "I'll be ready to have the baby when you come back."

He brushes a hand through my hair and kisses my head. "My mother agreed to stay to help you also through the weeks."

I nod my head. "I will miss you." My heart breaks a little thinking about him gone, but I swallow it and snuggle closer.

When the time for Cassius to leave draws closer I get uneasy. "Do you have to go?" I ask, stepping over a tree root.

Cassius is taking my for a walk through the forest to pass time, and I'd rather we just stayed in bed.

"I'm the Alpha, I have to. It's my job to keep this pack safe." I can feel the pup kicking as he leads me out of the forest.

I glance up at him more than a hundred times, trying to memorize everything I can. He has a light stumble growing and I'm amazed at how hot my body gets just observing him.

Cassius feels me staring and looks over at me. A smirk tugs at his lips and he raises a brow.

His arrogant smirk evaporates when he smells my arousal. I watch his whole demeanor change and he stops walking, tugging me to him.

Cassius dips his head and kisses me sweetly on the jaw. "Wait till we get inside, Eliza."

We both walk at a faster pace through the village and to the pack house. I'm pretty much out of breath when we get to the front door and climb up the stairs.

He swings the door shut behind us, and then he's kissing me. The hunger fills him and he maneuvers us to the bed.

The baby kicks and he growls when he feels it against his abdomen. Placing me on the bed, he takes off his shirt.

His eyes are clouded with lust and my body is aching for him to climb in top of me and take me.

He stares down at me and I notice his erection. I pull my dress over my head, and he snaps.

Cassius climbs on top of me and claims my lips. He's careful not to put any weight on me. His fingers are knotted in my hair, and his breathing is ragged. "Eliza, I swear you'll be the death of me."

I smile against his kisses, and then his underwear is off. Glancing down, I notice that he is hard. His member upright.

He slips a finger in the seam of my underwear and yanks them off and I gasp. His fingers slide over my body and his kisses trail down my neck. He places kisses between my breast and down to my swollen belly.

His eyes glance up at me as he kisses my bump softly. I feel a sharp kick and I hold back a yelp.

Then in an instant his mouth is back on mine. I wrap my legs around his waist and welcome him.

He pushes inside me and I moan with the intense feeling. His hands cup my waist and he moves inside of me.

Going deep I groan throwing my head back. "Look at me." He demands.

I lift my head up to look at him. That does it. Biting his lip he starts to pump harder and faster.

His eyes are filled with lust and that brings me over the edge.

I come down from the immense pleasure screaming. He follows shortly after and plops down beside me.

I'm shaking a little, and he pulls me against his chest. I turn around to face him and kiss him on the nose.

His eyes are closed and a smile tugs at his lips.

"Ah, fuck!"

I get up startled and see Cassius hastily pulling on his clothes. My heart drops remembering his trip.

Wrapping the sheet around me I sit up. "Cassius?"

"I'm sorry Eliza, but I have to leave in five minutes." I bit my lip willing myself not to cry.

He pulls his suitcase out of the closet and starts through random clothes in there. After a minute he zips it up and walks over to me.

He leans down and kisses me. "I promise I will write, you will be safe here. I love you, Eliza."

Then he turns his back and leaves.
