"I want to see my mother." I say, munching on a piece of bacon.

Cassius looks up. He hasn't let me leave the bedroom since he found out about my situation.

"I need to get out, and I miss my mom."

My mom has always been kind of distant, but she's still my mom. She helped me through my first shifting and I'll never forget that.

A female wolf first shifts when she turns 15. It is an excruciatingly painful experience and she was there for me.

It seems like my mind has kept her in a corner these past 2 months and I feel a pang of guilt.

"Only for the weekend. And I'm coming with you." Cassius says. "Your scent has changed and enemies nearby will know that you are carrying my child."

My face heats up and I take a sip of orange juice. I ignore his lustful glares and finish my breakfast. "So we are leaving today?" I ask, standing up.

Stomach burbling with excitement, he nods his head. "We will head out in a couple hours." He states, standing up to wrap his arms around me. "I have to take care of pack business first."

I give him a quick kiss on his lips and when I retract, he pulls me back. His lips are soft and passionate and it makes my head spin.

Cassius pulls back. "I won't be long."

He leaves and I feel a sharp pang in my chest. Stop being a pussy, he has work to do.

Yet again, he has left me nothing to do but sit in the room.

I'm in the middle of reading one of Cassius's books when the door slams open.

I jump and notice it's just Nadette. It seems like I haven't seen her in years.

"You didn't tell me!" She closes the door behind her and jumps onto the bed next to me. Her face shows excitement, and I have a feeling why.

"Tell you what?" I mumble, trying to keep my face straight. I glance down at my book and continue reading.

"Everyone is talking about you! Why didn't you tell me when you found out?!"

Maybe because this is none of your business. I'm such a bitch sometimes.

"What?" I ask, a innocent smile spreading across my face.

"That you are with child, you're having a pup!" She shrieks. "Oh my gosh!" She grabs my book and closes it. "What if it's a girl!? Do you have an idea what you'll name her?! I'll make you a list of names for you!-"

She continues to coo and shriek while I sit there and smile politely. Nadette bounces up and down her mouth going a million miles a sec.

I zone out and stare at the book I was reading. Nadette has it clasped in her hands, making me pay attention to her.

A knock sounds on the door, temporarily stopping Nadette's babbling. "Come in."

Gracia steps through the door and smiles. "Hello, Luna." She greets. "Cassius has sent me to prepare you for the trip."

Nadette turns to me. "You're going somewhere?"
