Chapter 8-Stranger Times

Dragons POV

"We hope you stay on for a very long time," The deputy head said to me, smiling. "Welcome to Glendale High,"

I smiled back politely then headed to where my new office was. That bloody cheek of a headteacher, won't even see me himself!

A few pupils stared at me as I walked, damn I thought that the going for the hot teacher, well counseller but you get my gist, was not in the cards.

When I got to my new office, I hesitated, yeah I had been undercover in a school before but I was the secretary for the head so I didn't ever have to talk to pupils now I was going to have to deal with them all!

I sighed then pushed open the door.

I gasped in suprise.

The room was a deep red colour with almost all books ever made lining the shelfs, there was a desk at the centre back (WITH A SWIVILLY CHAIR!!!) and a therapists chairs to the right. But that wasn't what caught my attention.

Hydraengas. Hundreds of them, on every stable surface in the room, all you could see were the delicate purple flowers!

They were my absolute favourite! Nothing could beat them. Or the huge smile that formed on my face.

Noticing a card on the desk, I picked it up and opened it eagerly.

My newest member of staff,

I would like to welcome you to the school. I am extremely

sorry that I couldn't be there in person to greet you, I was called

away on urgent buisness. My sincerest apologies!

I hope you are settled because we already have 6 students

that need your aid. I have the utmost confidence in you. Just

beware of the emo kids, they are a bit dodgy when it comes to

counselling.

Mr J Sykes,

Headmaster

P.S. I hope you like the flowers, someone told me they were your favourite.

:)

I mentally awed at that, he was sucha sweet guy!

The day passed in a bit of a blur and I had so many teachers coming to me with hormonal sluts having a mental breakdown because they ran out of foundation!

I didn't say that though, that would be a bit too harsh. Instead I pretended I understood and helped them through this 'difficult time'.

Soon enough it was lunch, I had seen Phoe briefly at break with some friends, she had been about to come over to me but I shook my head, she's got some new friends she might as well have a bit of fun with it.

I had been eating my pasta bolognaise when I sensed it. Werewolf. Suddenly I was on high alert, they probably weren't a threat but still I tensed and stayed that way until I saw Phoe, safe and unharmed.

I let out a sigh of relief then started up a mental conversation.

Do you know? I asked.

Yes, I know about the wolves. She mentally sighed.

Are you going to be alright?

I'll be fine, they are not here to harm us, I've befriended one of them and her thoughts were clear.
