Chapter 9-Great, another Alpha!

Phoenix's POV

"Shit, shit, shit!" I cried out in panic, trying to make sense of this situation.

He can't be my mate!

My mate can't be a wolf!

This cannot be happening!

Dragons gunna flip!

Damons POV

"Shit, shit, shit!" I heard her say.

Me? I had no clue what to think.

"DUDE! Think that one more time and I swear!" Kyle yelled, obviously frustrated.

Yeah, anyway, she's freaking out as much as you are!

I looked over to see her gripping the counter behind her with so much force that it should have broken off by now.

Phoenix's POV

Oh my god, how did this happen, this wasn't supposed to happen.

I tried reaching Dragon through the mindlink but she seemed to have blocked me, that can only mean one thing.

Danny.

Oh God! I thought, look at me! Standing here as if everything is alright when she's probably crying over Danny, her long lost boyfriend and to top it all off, I've done the one thing she asked me not to do. Find my mate!

I grabbed the counter behind me and tried to think of calming thoughts.

Bunnies.

Sunshine.

Fluffy Clouds.

Bunnies.

Chocolate.

Bunnies.

Damo- DAMN IT!

Crack!

The loud sound pulled me out of my thoughts by a loud crack, I snapped my head up in surprise to see everyone looking at me. Or rather my hands...

The counter edge had been cleanly knocked off and the unattached pieces were now in my hands. Great! Just great!

I put them on the island in front of me and laughed nervously.

Damon started walking towards me, those muscular legs going slowly, real slowly. I looked up to see my eye level at his hard, ripped chest...

No! Stop it Phoe!

He stopped about a foot away from me. "Calm down,"

God, his sexy voice just made me want to-

HEY! ENOUGH OF THOSE THOUGHTS!

"I'm calm," I whispered, my eyes staying at his chest. I had a feeling something bad would happen if I looked into those deep, beautiful eyes.

"Alright, so you know what we are, I can sense that much but who are you?" He asked.

I tried my best not to let my voice betray the overpowering sense of lust. "My real name is Phoenix, I am a sister of Artemis,"

Everyone gasped and through their mindlink I could sense them going mental.

Sister of- Jen

Artemis?! Sissy

That's not possible! Alice

Why would she lie then? Damon

How should I know? Besides, I wasn't doubting her, it just isn't possible! Alice

I thought they were a myth! Nate agreed.

Well obviously not! Dumbass! Kyle

HEY! Who are you calling dumbass? Nate

Kyle smirked. You!

They looked like they were about to go into a head-on fight when Damon suddenly howled.

THAT'S IT! YOU TWO STOP IT! WE HAVE A SITUATION ON OUR HANDS AND YOU ARE MAKING IT WORSE! He yelled through our minds, I mentally cringed before stepping in.

"PLEASE! Quit yelling, your all giving me a headache!" I said.

"You can hear our mind link?" Nate asked.

"Yup,"

Wow, she's amazing, I can't believe she's my mate, the wolf gods couldn't have paired me up with someone greater but still, I can't have a mate distracting me from my duties! Those rogues need to be taken care of and the vamps. If they so much as touch a beautiful strand of hair on my angels head then this is war! Hang on a second...God I'm whipped. I just want her to myself, to hold her to love her, to...DANG! This is going to far, I only just met the freaking girl!

I couldn't help it. After that thought speech from Damon, I just burst out laughing, it was hilarious!

 He gave me a curious look and tilted his head to the side. "What's so funny?"

"Oh, nothing, you should get back to those rogues and vamps, this angel can take care of her self," I grinned once I had recovered from my laughing fit.

His face went pale.

"You heard that? Did I say that all out loud?"

"Yep! I can also read your minds!"

 His face looked shocked for a second but then swiftly changed to a smirk. "So, how about it?"

"How about what?"

His smirk grew wider, taking a step towards me, causing me to take a step back. This was going somewhere and I had a feeling I wouldn't like the destination.

"How about being mine?"

Then it was my turn to stand there shocked.

Well thank you to all my dedicated readers, this chapter was one of those "GRRR! THIS IS TAKING TOO DAMN LONG!" but it is finished, yeah it's a bit shabby but still...ITS DONE!!!!!!!!!!

This is a cause for celebration so I think I'll just do a little victory dance.

Okay, I've done the victory dance so now I'm in a good mood even if my dad is driving me off the wall with my french exam! Kill me now! Jokes, I'm just tired and a little bit crazy but like I always say who cares what people think?

Now, I have a huge headache and its getting really cold so see ya soon.

Oh and I almost forgot, the other day I was on my friends phone and was jumping up and down with joy in the art room when I saw she had read every single chapter of my story :D So Zoe Joy Faiers, you are tres étonnant!!!!!!!
