Chapter 4

Chapter 1-This Explains Alot!

Running. Further and further, as fast as I could, jumping over dumpsters and dodging pedestrians. They were after me. I couldn't risk a glance back as I knew I would see them chasing me, I just ran as fast as I could. My powers weren't working, I clicked my fingers ,desparately trying to summon a flame, a spark, anything! But still nothing.

Shit, I cursed as I speeded up, this damn city was draining me! Speeding up, I racked my brains trying to think of a place where magic flowed, where I could charge up.

The forest!

With renewed energy I sprinted to the only forest in a 100 mile radius, praying to God that I got there in time to contact D.

Risking a glance back, I could see the pack gaining, even in human form. Damn, this is really not good!

Then I saw it, something so beautiful at that point in time, so heart-breakingly amazing I could have cried; the forest. I catapulted myself off the main road and threw the alley that lead to those gorgeous trees.

Unfortunately, the pack sounded closer than ever.

Then suddenly claws ripped through the skin on my back causing me to falter with a sorrowful whimper. I went head over heels into the closest tree to the alleyway with a painful thud.

Drowsily I intercepted their thought conversation.

"Lets kill this rogue!" The black wolf snapped angrily. I assumed he was the alpha, considering the amount of power that was radiating from him.

"Wait, are you sure shes a rogue? She hasn't turned-"

The young grey wolf was interrupted by the alpha. "Are you questioning my authority?!"

I flinched feeling the power in his voice, while the grey wolf cowered away murmuring his apologies.

I didn't know I was crawling away until my hand snapped a twig. All the wolves heads turned to me, I was frozen in terror.

The alpha growled at me before taking up a predatory stance, growled a bit more then lunged at me.

As his canines sank into my hip I let out an agonising cry that would be heard by any sister in the state.

I woke up from the same old nightmare with tears running down my cheeks and my hair matted to my scalp, my breath coming out in short ragged bursts.

"The nightmare again?" A voice asked from the doorway of the motel room.

I merely nodded, unable to form words.

Soundlessly, Dragons arms were around me, slowly rocking me back and forth while I cried silent tears.
