The council appeared in front of me instantly.

"Vikram Barn, where's the boy?" One demanded. The others narrowed their eyes at me. I gulped and tried to act normal.

"I-I can't find him!" I said to them. The middle one raised his eyebrow.

"Are you sure? I'm pretty sure we confirmed that he's there," he said. I was then sweating through my palms. I was never a good liar, but I had to even if I had to bear the consequences.

For Lachlan.

"I'm sure. He's not anywhere near where I landed," I averted my eyes to somewhere else, for fear that if I continue staring into their eyes, they would see the secret I'm keeping.

"You swear?" He asked. I gulped.

"Yes."

They looked at me, not believing, and I swore one had an evil glint in his eyes. I tried to ignore it, but I had a nagging feeling, like someone is in trouble.

"You shall be -"

"Wait!"

My eyes widened. The guy whose looking at me evilly stared at me and smirked.

"Yes, Preston?"

"I have something to show you," he smiled evilly, before summoning someone up. Another guy appeared behind me. I turned and looked at him, and he looked back, smiling almost apologetically. He was holding a sack, and there's something big and bulky in it.

"Open it, Rob."

He then untied a sack. Something came out.

Or rather, someone.

That someone had blond hair. That someone had baby blue eyes that shines brighter than the stars. That someone was so tall that I'm certain that he was very uncomfortable in that small sack.

And that someone made my heart shatter when I saw him here.

That someone was Lachlan.
