Yeah. Sure as hell I was pissed at Calum.

"ASSHOLE!" I yelled, kicking the lemonade can into an alley. It skittered across the ground, stopping with a sound that set the hairs on my neck rising like a tide.

I inhaled a shuddery breath and tilted my head back to look at the sky as I walked. The stars glimmered overhead, but everything went blurry as tears started to form in the corners of my eyes.

I rounded a corner, not thinking straight, and smacked into a running figure.

"Argh!" I yelped in surprise as I was knocked to the ground. The running figure stumbled over my legs and skidded to a halt.

"Shit, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you! Here, take my hand-" a male voice stuttered, sounding worried.

"I'm fine I'm fine I'm fine!" I reassured, trying not to make eye contact incase he questioned as to why I was crying. I got up, dusted myself down, made sure my eyes were dry, and then looked up at his face.

"I'd... I'd love to stay and chat, but I really have to go, I've left something important and the building it's in could shut at any moment! I'll... I'm sure I'll catch you later!"

He smiled awkwardly and began jogging around the corner again.

Since it was dark, I hadn't really gotten a good look at his face, but I'd never seen him before- and I knew most faces in this part of town.

Also, what could be so important that you'd run down the streets in the dark at 9:30pm?

Well, whatever it was, it wasn't my business, and so I , (more cautiously this time), carried on my nighttime walk home.

I couldn't face Dylan, not after yesterday.

I also couldn't bring myself to talk to Calum, and he seemed to get my "I'm annoyed at you" vibe, because he stayed the hell away.

"Fletcher." Sapphire said, beckoning me over.

"Uh, yeah?" I said quietly. She knew something was up.

"What's happened with Calum and Dylan? I can't have the squad falling apart."

"We uh... Calum outed me to Dylan and I don't want to speak to either of them... You get me?"

She nodded slowly, her eyes narrowed.

"Surely Dylan is okay with it...?" She asked cautiously.

"Yeah, probably, but it's so awkward and-" I put my hands to my face, "it would've been fine if it was me that said it, but the fact that Calum said it against my will-"

"I know the feeling." Sapphire sighed.

She got me, she had most likely been in many a similar situation.

She understood me because she'd been openly pansexual for a couple of years, afraid her parents would disapprove of her if they found out. But she left home and realised she had way more freedom. And hey, when her parents found out- they accepted her easily- so it just shows that sometimes your parents can be okay.

"Nah, I'm not speaking to them..." I sighed finally.

"Fletch!" Sapphire scolded.

"I'll just give it a few days... Y'know"

She shook her head in disapproval, but waved her hand.

"Fine, whatever, it's your life."

And with that, she left and began shouting at some of the other squad members.

I was busy practicing flips in the foam pit when, as I was waiting for a shot, I was tapped on the shoulder.

"Hey," said a boy with black hair and a red flannel. His curly fringe brightening his already bright eyes.

"Oh, um... Hey," I replied. Me, being the most awkward human being on the planet, is not good at socialising.

"I heard about your problem with Calum and Dylan, just wondered if you'd want to hang with me and Brandon. I'm only offering and it's not out of spite..."

"Oh..." I pondered this for a second. I had spoken to Brandon a few times, he was shy, but nice enough. But I didn't know this guy's name. I guess he seemed alright?

"Yeah, I'd like that," I decided.

"Great! Oh, I'm Elliot by the way. Just incase you didn't know." He smiled, I smiled back.

"Well, I'm glad to have friends again." I admitted, Elliot laughed.

"We're heading home now, but we'll see you next session on Wednesday right?" Elliot asked.

It was Saturday, and with there being no Monday or Tuesday sessions due to staff being away on training courses, Wednesday it was.

I nodded in reply and smiled as Elliot walked away to the changing rooms. You never know, maybe I'd see him around school.

Sorry this was such a short chapter, I just needed to tie up a few loose ends. Next one will be longer.
