Red's PoV
As Rose walked back to her office, I gave her one more look before she walked by my window. I sat back into my chair and smiled at the thought of her. I felt my cheeks burn up and tried to cover them before anyone saw if they walked past my office. I still continued to smile as I continued my work.*Time skip until the end of the day*
I later finished my work and I was ready to go home with John, when Adam came into my office and sat down on the couch.
"So," she started, with the fattest grin on his face, "how'd the recording with Rose go?" I felt my cheeks slightly burn up and I quickly looked away, awkwardly.
"Er, it went well, um, she caught a rare Pokemon," I said, stuttering before every sentence, and looking around my room.
"Ooh, I knew it. I knew you felt something for her," said Adam, standing up and throwing his hands in the air, dancing around the room. I smiled embarrassingly. He sat back down at the edge of the couch and crossed his arms over his knees.
"So, are you gonna ask her out?" He asked.
"I don't know, I mean, I do, but I'm kinda scared she doesn't feel the same way," I said, scratching the back of my head.
"Hey, don't you worry, man," said Adam, standing up and placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder, "I'm so sure that she feels the same way," he continued. He began to open the door and stand in the doorway. "Just make her day special," he said, before leaving the room. I looked down at my phone, took out some notes and wrote down some ideas of what I can do make Rose feel like the happiest girl in the world.*Time skip to the next day*
Rose's PoV
I got up the next morning and I began to get ready before getting a text from Red
"Hey, it's Red, Adam told us that we have the day off today, so would you like to go somewhere this afternoon?" I smiled at the text, thought for a minute and relied.
"Hey, oh okay, and sure, that sounds fun, what time should I meet you?"
"Alright, cool, should I meet you at your place at about 4?" We texted back and forth for a while, gave him my address, closed my phone and squealed to myself, quietly. Alright, calm down, it's just an afternoon together, don't overreact, I thought to myself, taking some deep breaths. I decided to look pretty, just in case, so I got ready by firstly taking a shower.*Time skip to the afternoon*
It was 3:45, 15 minutes before Red would pick me up. I had my hair loose, I was wearing a loose red dress that ended before my knees. It had straps around the back and on my shoulders, and I had simple, flat red shoes. I had mascara and perfume on, nothing too extreme. You could see my tattoo on my shoulder of two outlines of roses. It looked kinda cute. I looked a final time in the mirror when I heard a knock at the door. I pulled my hair back behind my ear, showing off my earrings, and went to get the door and opened it. Red stood there proudly, wearing a smart white shirt, with the top button undone, with black trousers and black shoes. He was holding a bunch of roses and was smiling at me.
"Hey. These are for you," he said, holding up the roses. I smiled shyly and took them from him.
"Aw, you shouldn't have, I'll quickly put these in some water and we'll go," I said. I walked over to the kitchen, poured some water into a vase, put the flowers into it and went back to the door, with a smirking Red.
"What are you smirking at?" I asked, grabbing my purse and phone.
"At you. You look gorgeous," he said, blushing slightly and grinning at me. I smiled back, blushing harder. We left and got into his car. We put some music on and drove for quite a while.
"Where are we going," I asked.
"Somewhere nice, you'll see," he replied, smiling at me. We then shortly arrived at a car park, right next to the ocean. It was sunny, with small clouds, a small breeze with seagulls flying overhead. I opened my eyes, staring at the beautiful scenery and smiled slightly at myself. Red came and stood next me, wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I said, slightly leaning onto Red's chest. I heard his heart race quicken.
"Yeah, it is," he replied, "but this isn't what we're only seeing today," he continued, leading me to a nearby restaurant next to the peer. Red had apparently reserved a place for us next to the window, looking at the view. We ordered our food and it came shortly after. We ate slowly, mostly talking to each other about ourselves again, some work stuff and other stupid things. We laughed together, and smiled the whole time, with some shy glances into each other's eyes. We later finished, around 6:30, left the restaurant and looked again at the view. We saw that the sun was beginning to set.
"You wanna walk across the peer," asked Red, looking down at me.
"Yeah, sure, that'd be nice," I replied, looking back up at him. I had never realised how short I was compared to him. He smiled at me and held out his arm. I took it and we slowly walked together across the peer, not speaking much, just admiring each other's presence and warmth. We came across a bench, sat down and leaned against each other, looking at the sunset. It made a pretty scenery; the sun was halfway hidden over the horizon, with small purple and red clouds around the sky. The sea was also pretty, reflecting the whole sky. He wrapped his arm around my waist, and made me turn his way. I blinked several times before he spoke.
"Rose, ever since I met you, you changed my world completely. You make my heart race everyday, just by you smiling can brighten up my day, so I'll ask you one thing. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, putting in the sweetest face he could make. I raised my eyebrows, and smiled brightly.
"Yes, of course I will," I replied, placing my hand into his. He smiled back and put his other hand on my jawline. He leaned closer, our lips inches from each other before he closed the distance between us. We kissed passionately before parting a few moments later. He looked up from my lips into my eyes, and we both smiled and giggled at each other. We leaned back into each other again, but this time, we wrapped our arms around each other, savouring this moment for as long as it lasts.
Soon as the sun set completely, we left, hand in hand, to his car. We rode back to my place with my hand ruffling his hair as he drove. Shortly after I arrived, he walked me to my door, he grabbed both my hands, and pulled me closer to him. He placed his forehead onto mine, causing me to blush.
"Today was wonderful," I whispered, lifting my head up, with our lips almost touching.
"Yeah, it was, mostly because I can now call you mine," he whispered back, looking at my lips and smirking sweetly. I smirked back.
"Yeah, same here," I said, looking back at his lips. I leaned forward and softly touched his lips, placing my hands on his chest. He cupped my jawline with both hands, before parting again.
"It's getting late, mister, and we have work tomorrow, so you need your sleep," I said, turning around and unlocking my door. I was about to enter before Red wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Noo, I don't want you to go," he said, with a sadness in his voice.
"You're gonna see me in a few hours, don't worry, I'm not going anywhere," I said, holding his hands before unwrapping them. I turned back around and gave him a final kiss on his lips. He smiled at me.
"Ok, fine, I'll see you tomorrow, baby," he said, leaving my door and going to his car. I closed my door, leaned my back against it, bit my lip and blushed bright red. I grinned to myself, got changed, took off my makeup and got ready for bed. Laying down, I went on my phone for a while, when I got a text from Red.
Good night, baby. Have a nice sleep, I'll dream of you if you do the same ❤️
I smiled at the text and we sent sweet texts back and forth for a while before I felt my eyelids get heavy and I closed them, thinking of Red, and smiled to myself, before falling asleep.
