Me and Jenna, my little sister, wake up early so we can get ready and still have time in the morning. I am so nervous for my first day because last year was awful. I hope things will be different. I need to get into a right group of people and stay there.
As I walk out of my room I see Jenna arranging her things on her bed. She is wearing a nice blue dress with black dress shoes. I go into the bathroom and do my mascara and then I grab my things before heading down the stairs.
The first day at a new school will be the worst thing. It would scare anyone. I have to meet over 1,000 kids today and they just have to meet a few people. They all already have their friends and their hobbies in the school, I have nobody and nothing. It's weird thinking of leaving my old life behind, but maybe it was for the best.
Sitting on the couch I watch the news to see the weather, I want to tell my mom that I am not feeling good, but I've come this far.
Jenna and I head out the door and walk down the road, the school is only two blocks away from our house. We talk about how we think today will be like and how nervous we are. You'd never think Jenna would be nervous about anything because she is so pretty and in our old school she was pretty popular. I used to be popular, everyone would say hello to me as I'd walk past or give me all the school gear I'd ask for.
They all hated me later on, even though the judge said it was true they didn't believe me, but this is besides the point.
As we get into the parking lot me and Jenna head into the high school. Jenna is two years younger than me, she just got into the high school. We walk though the large crowds of people, getting eyed down by tall boys, all wearing blue jerseys. They must be the jocks. I see all these kinds of people and they have their own place. Where do I belong here?
The bell goes off and I'm guessing it's telling us to head to class, that's what my old school did. I walk into first hour and find my seat, I sit next to a really pretty girl that is wearing a dress, I assume she is popular. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. "Oh hi. You're new here." She says. I expect the worst. "I like your sweater, where did you get it?" She asks. I don't know what store it was, but I know it was in the mall.
"Oh, the mall." I tell her, sounding really shy.
"Hey the first day isn't too bad, plus you've already made a friend." She tells me and flashes a friendly smile. She is implying that I'm her friend? We just met, but I'm glad she is my friend because I've never made a friend so easily.
When the hour is over the girl, named Lily, helps me to my second class. She is really nice for a popular girl, I am pretty sure her confidence is popularity. Plus the way everyone talks to her. Class after class everyone is more kind than everyone else. Barely anyone at this school is mean, it seems, but it is only the first day of school.
At lunch time Lily and her friends have me sit at their table. There are twin girls here and they look flawless, they have dark brown hair and brown eyes. I don't understand why everyone at this school looks so pretty and I look so ugly. The twins don't have boyfriends that sit next to them though. This is a nice group to be in. I won't tell them about 2 years ago, ever. "So Taylor why did you move here?" Jordyn says, she has blonde hair and brown eyes. Her shirt has emoji's on it and she is wearing blue jean short shorts.
"Oh um." I say thinking. "People made fun of me and my sister." I tell them not wanting to lie to them too much.
"You're kidding." Kylie says in disbelief, I shake my head. They don't believe me, but thats alright because it keeps me from telling them a lie.
So thats how most of my day went. They were helping me to every class and I didn't have any problems. What a fine day this was.
