So after the first week of school everything felt like a breeze. Me and Jenna walked to school everyday and weren't even late once. Last year we had awful schedules for school, we often didn't go.
I wake up early on Wednesday and put on all Adidas clothes, except my tank top under my sweater. I'm looking very comfortable today. Unlike the other days of the week, I was wearing skinny jeans and shorts. I wear sweatshirts a lot because of all my nasty looking scars. It makes me angry all the time, but I can't change the past.
I eat oatmeal for breakfast, I didn't get my homework done today, but I'm not going to work on it because I have time before fourth hour. I do my mascara and eyeliner again today, before rushing Jenna because we have ten minutes before school starts. She had the bright idea to take a shower when she woke up late. "I'm going to leave you." I say hitting the door repeatedly.
"Taylor, wait a few minutes okay?" She says back. I go in and sit on my bed and text Jordyn telling her that I will be coming in late. I see my favorite necklace sitting on my dresser and I decide to put it on, its a picture of me and my cousin, Kimberly before she moved away.
When Jenna comes out we quickly head downstairs and out the door, rushing to get to school even though we have five minutes. Well its the second week, we can be late. "Hey do you need a ride?" I hear a man ask. I look over and see the stranger, he looks like a nice man.
"Yeah, sure." Jenna says and she gets into the back, I follow in behind her. The car is very old looking, I see a woman letting her pup in before the man drives,
"Where you two heading?" He asks, as if the bags didn't give it away.
"Oceans High School." I tell him and he looks at me through the mirror. I get a sick feeling in my stomach. It's fear. I move my phone into my shoe, just in case. As we reach the school the man keeps going.
"You missed the school." Jenna tells him, but I start to grab for a door handle. Nothing is there, I look to see the door frame is gone, nothing but wires and plastic remains. "What are you doing?! Where are we going?" Jenna says in a panic.
"Be quiet!" He yells pulling a gun out of his pocket. "If you make anymore noise I'll blow your brains out." He growls. I'm terrified. I don't know what to do. All the things that could happen play through my brain one after the other. My heart is beating out of my chest.
When we pull up to the house he points the gun at me, "If you guys scream or run I will shoot you." He says talking to both of us. He gets out slowly and opens my door looking around for anyone. Just then my phone goes off. My stomach sinks. The man takes my cell phone out of my shoe. "Clever girl." He says as he puts it into his pocket. He orders Jenna out then takes us into the house.
He brings me and Jenna into the basement and locks Jenna in a separate room, then he locks me in an empty closet. I start to cry, knowing that I won't get home today to see my mom. I've never been so scared in my life.
A/N
Okay so the things that are in this book could (and probably did) happen. You may think it sounds stupid to get into someones car, but I've seen multiple people do it. None of them have been abducted though. This is my message of, looks can be deceiving.
