 (A/N at the end)

Last night was the best night’s sleep I had in weeks honestly. I felt so safe and warm lying next to the person that was supposed to be my other half. When I woke up next to him I didn't want to move, I just laid there and looked over his facial features. He looked so rugged but his face was one of a new born baby. Soft lips and skin, short black hair, and a strong jaw line. He was everything a girl wanted. When I was done feeling looking at him like a creep I tried to move away from him because I really had to go to the bathroom. But the instant I moved he pulled me closer and groaned a little.

I touch his face and say, “Mason, hey, I have too pee.” I got the same response. Just a groan and some movement. I was getting antsy and probably couldn't hold it any longer. I did the only thing that came to mind and leaned in and kissed him on the lips. His eyes flickered open slowly and started to kiss me back. Victory! I laugh to myself. He had a tight grip on me and was kissing me back furiously. I broke the kiss and got up fast and sprinted to the bathroom laughing.

“What are you doing babe?” He asked from the bed.

“I have too pee really bad!” I yell from the bathroom door before I shut it behind me. I could hear a husky laugh from behind the closed door. When I finished I decided to take a shower because I forgot the last time I cleaned myself, and that wasn't a good feeling let me tell you. I turned the faucet too hot and waited for the water too warm up. This shower was huge and had no curtain, just a glass door that slid shut. This whole house was a sign that Mason or his parents had money. I had hardly no idea on how to use most of the buttons in this damn shower! What happened too hot, cold, medium, and one shower head? But no there has to be shower heads sprouting from the wall on all sides and twenty different knobs. I manage to finally kind of figure out how to use and find out what all these damn knobs do. But by the time I get out of the shower and ready to put on my clothes I realize that I didn’t grab them. Damn it! I’m so stupid sometimes.

I open the door and peek around to see if Mason was still in the room. He was lying in bed still shirtless and snoring quietly facing me. I loved the way he slept. It was so peaceful and really hot. Ok my bag was right at the foot of his bed, all I need to do is go out there really quick and grab the bag before Mason wakes up. He’s my mate and all but I’m really insecure about my body and my weight. I weigh about 220 pounds and I’m short. Do the math. When the cold air hit my skin I had goose bumps all over my body and exposed legs below my towel. Taking soft steps toward my bad felt like every step was every creaky wooden board possible. I was almost there when I a small swoosh behind me and felt tingles on my arms as I was being spun around on my heels.

“Why are you sneaking around? This is your house too you know now right?” Mason said as he ran his fingertips up and down my exposed arms. I tightened my towel around myself slightly under his soft touch. He flinched a little at my movement.

“I’m really sorry Sam for last night, I…..I didn't know my wolf would react like that too your scent.” He explained as he turned around and sat on the end of the bed and put his head on his hands looking down to the floor. He sighed and looked back up at me with those too die for electric green eyes. My heart ached and I could feel my wolf trying to push me towards him.

~ Comfort him. He needs reassurance. ~ She said to me.

It felt awkward but I went and sat next to him in my towel and leaned against him and ran my hand through his blackish hair.

“Hey look at me.” I say quietly. He looks towards me with sad eyes.

“I’m not mad. I get it, we all have our demons and sometimes we can't control ourselves around the people we love.” I explain. He didn't say anything he just kissed my cheek got up and left the room without another word.

I honestly didn't know what to do after I got dressed. It’s not like I could go and do something because this house is a freaking maze and I would get lost easily. I finally decided this would be the perfect time to call Alyssa. I haven't talked to her since the day before left home. I dug through my bag too find the cheap minuet phone Jason got me to use if I needed to call someone. I pull it out and dial Alyssa’s number. It rings three times and just when I think she’s not going to answer I hear a hello at the other end. I was so caught up in calling her I didn't really think of what I was going to say.

“If this is another prank call I'm calling the cops!” A lady said into the phone.

“No it’s not a prank call, um I was calling for Alyssa Acosta? Is she available?” I ask politely. Maybe she changed her number because this wasn’t her mother.

“She isn't available at the moment, who is this?” The voice said.

“Um, a friend from school.”

“Well if you're one of her friends you must have heard?” I was confused as hell. What was this lady talking about? What happened too Alyssa?

“No I'm sorry I haven't heard. Can you please tell me what happened?” I ask nicely.

“Well Alyssa was walking home from school and someone came up, opened their car door and took her right off the street.” The ladies voice was breaking up from sorrow and grief.

“Kidnapped?!” I yell into the phone. I didn’t even hear the rest of what the lady said I threw my phone at the wall and got up and started to pace back forth from one side the room to the other. I swear if steam could really come outta people’s ears there would be some coming out full throttle. I was pissed and sad at the same time. What kind of sick and twisted person would take a 16 year old girl! I could feel my wolf trying to breakthrough and I swear I felt hair sprouting threw my skin and my teeth growing. All of a sudden the door flew open and there stood Mason and Jason looking confused and worried.

Mason stepped forward with a hand outstretched. “Sam you need to calm down before you turn in this room and break something.” he said trying to sooth my wolf but nothing could sooth me at this moment I was furious and I was going to turn there and then in that room.

Jason turned to Mason. “We need to get her outside now!” He said as he come towards me slowly with his hand in front of him. I stop and stare at him still breathing heavily.

“Sam just come with us. You can explain the situation to us outside where there's nothing sharp and it’s not a small room full of breakable objects.” He explained.

I nod and walk toward him slowly my hands clenched at my sides. Both of them looking at me with sharp eyes as Mason leads us through mazes of hallways till we hit the great hall, I’m guessing, it had two huge doors with window on each side. We head outside and too the woods that lay beyond the house about 100 feet. By now my anger had died down a little bit and I could now have a normal conversation with someone without ripping someone’s head off. We make it to a clearing with tipped over trees all over and claw marks in the dirt and in the broken down trees. Anger turned to wonder as I make my way to the closest tree that was standing with claw marks.

"What happened here?" I ask as I touch the splintered wood. Whoever put them here definitely had power.

“Um I did.” I look over at Mason with wide eyes.

“Why?” I say as I go to where he and Jason were standing side by side arms crossed over their chests.
