"I jus' don't understand wwhy."
Eridan and Karkat were sitting side by side in Sollux's living room.
"I WANT HIM TO WAKE UP- HE NEEDS TO WAKE UP!" Karkat broke down for the fifth time within those fifteen minutes.
"Shhhhhh okay." He hugged Karkat close and rocked back and forth. "He'll wwake up. He's not wweak. You knoww that."
He whimpered in response and Eridan cradled him softly.
Kanaya returned from the bedroom and Karkat looked up hopefully.
"He Said That... He Hopes You Two Are Happy Together."
"YOU MEAN HES DEAD?!" Red tears welled in Karkat's eyes.
"No No. He Was Upset You Guys Had Left Him, So He Just Said He Hoped You Two Had A Chance To Bond."
"THAT IDIOT DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHEN HES SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT HIMSELF..." Karkat buried his face in Eridan's shirt and Eridan hugged him tightly.
"Are wwe allowwed to go see him?"
"I Suppose... He Didn't Seem To Keen On Seeing You."
"WELL HE CAN SUCK IT UP." Karkat grabbed Eridan's hand and walked into Sollux's bedroom.
Sollux was curled up on the bed, wrist hanging limply off the edge and looking pale.
Karkat stormed forward and hugged the tired psionic. Eridan watched from the doorway. He only caught glimpses of the two's conversation, mostly apologies from Sollux and Karkat trying to comfort him.
"Jus' shut up Sol. He forgivves you. Isn't it obvvious?"
Sollux fell silent, staring at the wall.
Eridan sighed and walked over, lifting Karkat up off the floor and onto the bed beside Sollux. He climbed up on the other side and the yellow blood relaxed slightly.
"WE CAN JUST BE DEPRESSED ASSHOLES TOGETHER..." Karkat mumbled. Eridan giggled and Sollux smiled, eyes closed.
