The Tales of Captain Ladybug

Chapter 5

Time skip. On Adrien's ship

Nino and the others see that something was bothering Adrien, and decided to see if he was okay.

"Hey, dude. Is everything okay?" Nino asks.

Adrien explains what happened last night between him and Ladybug, leaving the other boys shocked with their jaws dropped.

"You KISSED the Captain Ladybug?!?!?" Nino said a little loudly.

Adrien blushes a little before nodding his head yes. This causes Nathaniel to faint and Nino hugs his friend.

"I'm sorry things couldn't work out, but hey, you shouldn't give your hopes up. Ladybug and her pals travel to all the different kingdoms helping people. And knowing how greedy most of the nobles in Borealis are, it's only a matter of time before she returns," Ivan said trying to cheer him up.

"Thanks, guys," Adrien said before returning to look out at the horizon.

Elsewhere; The Shadows' ship

The girls noticed that Captain Ladybug wasn't herself, so Volpina went to check on her.

"Did something happen, girl? You know you can tell us anything," Volpina says.

Ladybug explains everything to her comrades about what happened last night, leaving them all astonished.

"You KISSED Prince Adrien?!?!" Timebreaker asks a little loudly.

Ladybug blushes a little before nodding her head yes. This causes Volpina and Princess Fragrance to hug Ladybug.

"We're sorry that you couldn't go with him, but you shouldn't give your hopes us. We travel to help those in need. Besides, knowing how greedy the nobles back in Borealis are, it'll only be a matter of time before we have to return there," Reflekta says trying to cheer her captain up.

"Thanks, girls. You're the best family I could ever ask for," Ladybug said before returning to her post.

Time skip.

After returning to Borealis, Adrien and his friends went back to their normal lives. Pretty soon, a couple of months passed and Princess Lila and her family arrived from Xeris.

"It's a pleasure to see you again, King Gabriel," Lila's mother said.

"The pleasure is mine, Your Majesty. I hope your visit will be beneficial for both our kingdoms in the end," King Gabriel says bowing.

"As do I," Lila's father says.

"Adrien, would you mind keeping Lila company while her parents and I discuss about the matters in our kingdoms?" Gabriel asks his son.

"Of course, Father. Princess Lila, please come," Adrien says as he directs Lila to the doors.

While his father and Lila's parents talked, Adrien and Lila explored the gardens. Just as he expected, Lila kept on making up stories about who she is. He pretended to buy it so she wouldn't be upset, but knew that it was getting old. He decided to talk about something else, involving Ladybug and The Shadows.

"Lila, is it true that Captain Ladybug, and her comrades stopped an assassination attempt concocted by your sister, Lilly?" Adrien asks.

"It is very true. The Shadows approached by family, knowing that they could've been arrested for entering their palace, but explained everything to my parents about what they found out. At first, we didn't believe that my own sister would want me dead, but in the end, we found out that they were right. When my 23rd birthday came, my parents held a party for me.

What Lilly and her associates didn't know was that Ladybug and her friends came up with a plan to fool my sister. Using Volpina's powerful illusions, they made it looked like I was there about to thank everyone for coming to my birthday, but the illusion faded away the minute an arrow was shot at it. Then the fight broke out. Ladybug and her comrades used their talents to stop the criminals, and got Lilly to confess. As punishment, they were all sentenced to prison for their crimes. By the time it was over, The Shadows had disappeared, but left a note for us to know that they left," Lila explained.

"Interesting. Ladybug and her comrades actually have been in Borealis for some time before they left. They even stopped bandits from robbing everyone and from kidnapping Chloe during a ball a couple months back before disappearing. I saw them in action, especially Ladybug," Adrien said looking up at the sky.

"That's amazing. Adrien, I'm glad I got to see you again," Lila said as she hugs him.

"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Excuse me, I'm going to get a drink. Would you like anything?" Adrien says.

"No thank you, I'm good," Lila says.

After some more talking and dinner, night came & Adrien went to his quarters. When he was alone, he looked out at the night sky.

"It isn't the same as it was on the island or without Ladybug," Adrien thought to himself.

After some more time to himself, he got the inspiration for a song he would've wanted Ladybug to hear. Once he was done playing the instrument and song, he went to bed.
