The Tales of Captain Ladybug

Chapter 6

2 years had passed since Adrien saw Ladybug. He had marriage interviews with other noble women and princesses, but his heart only belonged to Ladybug.

As for Ladybug, she and her comrades continued to help others in need, but she never forgot about Adrien. Recently, they received Intel about a criminal named Hawkmoth who was given the power to give people their own special power or powers if they did something for him in return. They spent nearly a year tracking him, until one day...

"According to the new Intel Timebreaker got, Hawkmoth's pattern lead to Borealis," Volpina said.

"Looks like we'll be heading back there after all," Reflekta said.

"Yeah, we will," Ladybug said happily as she and her comrades she coarse for Borealis.

"It'll be great to see you again, Adrien," Ladybug thought to herself.

By the time The Shadows made it to Borealis, it was already nightfall, so they decided to go to bed and continue their investigation the next day. Ladybug woke up a little early, to sneak up to the castle to see Adrien. She found a window that was close to his quarters, and decided to go there. Once she found the window, she knocked on it to see if Adrien was there. When Adrien heard knocking and went to see who it was, and...

(Adrien gasps and smiles as he opens the window) "Ladybug, you're back!"

"Yeah, I am. I've missed you," Ladybug said

"As did I," Adrien said as he pulled her in for another kiss.

"So what are you doing back in Borealis?" Adrien asked.

"The girls and I are following up on a lead about a criminal named Hawkmoth. Like us, he possesses magic, but he uses his powers to better himself, even if it means getting other people hurt or killed," Ladybug explained.

"I see. Well, even if we're both working, it's still good to see you again," Adrien said.

"I agree. I should get going before the girls notice that I'm gone. See you later," Ladybug said before giving a goodbye kiss to Adrien.

The next morning in the village

"Guys, did you hear? Those performing gypsies from 2 years ago are back, and performing as we speak. Come on," Aurore said.

"Really?!?! Come one!!" Mylène said excitedly

"Guys, look it's Belle and Astrid!" Kim said.

After The Shadows did another astonishing performance and disappearing act, The Shadows explored parts of woods to hijack another shipment of unfair taxes. They knew that it would be a trap, so they planned ahead, and used Volpina's illusions to make it look like there were more of them and Timebreaker's ability to temporally freeze people to catch the guards off guard.

The night they grabbed the taxes, they returned to their hideout, and chose to explore more of Borealis, and find any other leads on Hawkmoth. Just then, they saw a creature attacking people and trapping them in goo-like cocoons. The creature looked like a pink salamander-like monster with purple forearms, 3 yellow eyes, sharp, jagged teeth, and a long purple tail. Upon seeing this, Marinette and the girls found places to change into The Shadows, and went to stop the creature.

"I guess our leads were right. Hawkmoth is in Borealis," Princess Fragrance said.

"And it looks like he found another innocent victim to serve him," Volpina said.

"We better help this person before it's too late. Shadows, move out!" Ladybug said.

Just when the creature was about to grab Lady Chloe and her friend, Sabrina, Timebreaker rushed in and grabbed them.

"Are you both all right?" Timebreaker asks them.

"Oh, yes, yes. We're fine. Thank you for saving us, Timebreaker," Sabrina spoke.

"It's okay. Right now, we need you both to get some place while we deal with this creature," Timebreaker said rushing off to help her friends.

After Timebreaker left to join the fight, Sabrina and Chloe went to Sabrina's house to hide out.

"Volpina, use your illusions to make the creature think that there are more people to trap, while Reflekta uses her ability to move through the shadows to sneak behind the beast, and she and Princess Fragrance will use this magical rope to trip it," Ladybug ordered her comrades.

"Aye, aye Captain," the 3 girls said.

Just as Ladybug said, Volpina created an illusion of more people confusing the transformed victim, while Reflekta and Princess Fragrance used the rope to trip the creature. Once they had the upper hand, Ladybug used her good luck and healing powers, she turned the victim back to a person and turn everything back to normal. The creature was revealed to be Mylène.

"Are you all right, miss?" Ladybug asked.

"I'm fine. Thank you saving me," Mylène said as she stood up.

"It was nothing. Can you tell us how you became that creature?" Volpina asks.

"I don't remember much, but I remember feeling black magic surround me, & hearing a voice say that his name was Hawkmoth," Mylène said.

"OK. You should return to your friends and family. Don't worry about us," Reflekta said.

Mylène nods her head yes and walks off. After that was taken care of, The Shadows used their magic to disappear and return to their hideout.

"We need more information about this Hawkmoth character if we're going to stop him," Timebreaker said.

"I agree, and I think I know just the thing that'll help us. I'm heading back to the island to find the book. I be back by the evening or the night," Ladybug said she cast a spell that helps her fly.

With that, Ladybug flew off to the island. Once she reached it, she went inside the same cave she told Adrien and his friends not to go in 2 years ago. Inside, there were potions and other magical items that she and the girls used to help harness and control their powers. Inside a crate was an enchanted book that had the information that they needed to understand Hawkmoth's powers.

By the time she returned, it was already nightfall.

"I got what we needed. Let's see what else this book can tell us," Ladybug said placing the book on a table and opening it.
