2 weeks after the ball, The Shadows still had no clue where the Cat-Shifter Amulet was or even how to find it. They decided to look at the magical book to see if it had any answers towards how to find it.
"According to the book, it says that the Ladybug necklace can be used to find the Cat-Shifter amulet. All we have to do is recite a ritual and Marinette has to channel her energy and focus on what she seeks," Alya says.
"That sounds easy enough," Juleka said.
"OK. Juleka and Rose, you both get the symbol and candles ready to recite the ritual. Alix, you and Alya read the incantation while I focus my attention and concentration of what I seek with my necklace," Ladybug said.
"Aye, aye Captain" the 4 girls said.
After getting ready for the ritual, Marinette got in position with her necklace still around her neck. Alix opened the book to the page that contained the ritual incantation, and shared it with Alya. As they began, the circle Marinette was in began to glow red and black, and a semi-circle was formed around Marinette.
"I ask you to tell me where to find the Cat-Shifter Amulet," Marinette said as she gripped her necklace.
The next thing Marinette knew was that she was inside the castle. She entered Adrien's room and saw him take a box inside his closet. She observed from the back to see the.... Cat-Shifter Amulet and 2 other magical objects she never knew about. After seeing what she needed to know, she opened her eyes, and the ritual was over.
"Well, did you see where it was?" Rose asks.
"Yeah. Adrien has it with him in the castle," Marinette said.
(The girls gasp at this news) "This is going to be tougher than we thought," Alix said.
"I know. Come on, let's do some patrolling to see if there's any trouble happening," Marinette said.
While patrolling Borealis, Marinette was still in deep thought about Adrien having the Cat-Shifter Amulet. She decided that when night came, she'd go to him, and tell what's so important about that amulet.
While exploring parts of a nearby town, Timebreaker spotted a woman with a black parasol in her hand, shooting lightning bolts out.
"Hello, citizens. This is Stormy Weather with the latest news about the weather. We're due to have severe winter storms, like NOW!!!" Stormy Weather says as she brings heavy snow down on people. The Shadows went to help the towns' people, and began to bring people to shelter before dealing with Stormy Weather.
"Quit messing with the weather, Ice Queen!" Volpina said.
"The name's Stormy Weather, foxy. Here's some extra wind to give you a way back home," Stormy Weather said as she used her parasol to bring wind to Volpina.
But, it was an illusion. When Stormy Weather shot a bolt of lightning at Volpina, she disappeared, revealing to be an illusion. Volpina and Reflekta came from behind and knocked Stormy down. Before she flew back up, Ladybug snuck from under her, and used her yo-yo to bring her down to the ground. As soon as Timebreaker saw the opportunity, she rushed over to freeze Stormy.
Ladybug used her good luck and healing powers, she turned the victim back to a person and turn everything back to normal. The victim was revealed to be a local town girl named Aurore.
"Are you all right, miss?" Princess Fragrance asked.
"I'll be fine. Shadows, thank you for saving me," Aurore said as she stood up.
"You're welcome," Ladybug said.
After Aurore left, The Shadows just disappeared, and went back into the woods.
"What a day for us," Timebreaker said lying down on top of a tree and staring at the sky.
"Yeah. Come on, let's go and relax back at our hideout," Ladybug said.
As they made their way back to the hideout through the shadows, they kept on hearing commotion about a festival called the Feast of Fools. They decided that it would be an excellent way to perform and make more money.
Back at the Shadows' hideout
"We should make some new clothing for the festival," Rose suggested.
"I think I'll stick with what I got, but I can make you guys some new ones if you guys if you want," Marinette says.
"Rose and I would like some new ones, but I think Alya and Alix want to stick with what they got," Juleka said.
"What Juleka said, girl," Alya said with Alix nodding.
"OK. Juleka, when is the Feast of Fools?" Marinette asks
"It's supposed to be next week. And, from what I heard, Prince Adrien, his father, & Nino are also going to be there," Juleka said.
"OK, that's plenty of time to make you and Rose some new gypsy performing clothing," Marinette said.
Marinette worked for half the night on Rose and Juleka's new clothes. It wasn't until she remembered about talking to Adrien that she stopped and snuck out. Once she made it to Adrien's window and knocked, Adrien let her in.
"Ladybug, what brought you by?" Adrien asks.
"Adrien, there's an extremely dangerous and powerful magical jewel that happens to be in your possession. It's called the Cat-Shifter's Amulet," Ladybug explains as she shows Adrien a picture of the amulet from the book.
(Adrien grabs the box his mother gave him, and looks at the amulet) "Why would my mother give me such a magical jewel for my birthday?"
"Your mother could've had her own reasons, but my friends and I need it to stop Hawkmoth. According to the book, it says that the Cat-Shifter's Amulet and my Ladybug necklace when combined can overpower and stop him. I was hoping you'd give it to us, so we can use it and my necklace to find and stop him," Ladybug said.
"I understand. Here," Adrien said as he hands Ladybug the amulet.
"Thank you. See you next time," Ladybug as she takes the amulet and heads to the window.
"Wait, Ladybug! I know that you have that magical book that tells you about other magical jewels. I was wondering if you could look through your book and see if these 2 items are magical," Adrien says showing Ladybug a heart charm and green jewel.
"Oh, sure. Let's take a look," Ladybug says looking through the book.
(Ladybug stumbles upon a page regarding the heart charm) "Here, the heart charm is actually called the True Love Charm. It's supposed to tell if the person who gives you it is the one you love. So, basically, it's saying that if I touched the charm recently and put it on you, and it glowed, then that would me that you love me."
(Ladybug stumbles upon a page about the green jewel) "The green one is called the Elven Jewel. It gives its wielder that powers of a turtle. Turtles are supposed to symbolize stability, longevity, and protection. The weapons are a shield that can used as a throwing disk, and a bow and arrow."
"I see. Ladybug, thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you again soon," Adrien said blushing and rubbing the back of his neck.
(Ladybug blushes as well) "I feel the same way. Well, I should get going before the girls realize I'm gone. Bye," Ladybug says as she exits out of the window, and disappears into the night.
Once Ladybug made it back to her hideout, she placed the amulet and her necklace on a table next to her bed, and went to bed herself.
