" Wherefore art thou Romeo? " said a loved lady once,

once, long ago, when a star crossed lover wasn't a dunce

Not when those in love were, but stupid fools,

not when people were used as nothing but tools,

But a time when Romeo was real," O romeo" she said,

He'd come, she thought, being the gentlemen she'd wed,

Juliet, the fair beauty, she said, " Wherefore art thou?'"

Someone tell the poor lady, Romeos don't exist now.

They're gone, never to come , pieces of fiction

Remaining in just Shakespeare 's dramatic diction.

Oh how, the words raise the hopes, for true love to be won,

of people pretending to be Juliet , the wronged fair one

And so while the voice in head whispers on and on,

it tells me to abscond from the hope, for I'd be a victim of con

It tells me that such perfect Romeos do not exist now,

Yet, I lament " O Romeo, O Romeo, Wherefore art thou? "
