Spencer Reyes had the life everybody dreams about; a college degree, a new house, a shiny car, and the perfect and loving boyfriend, Jack Connor. She was so certain that she had the perfect life, and nothing would change. Why would anyone ever want to just throw it away?
Spencer might. When an invitation is sent to her by her estranged best friend in high school, Cody Henry, emotions run high and is it just her, or is love in the air? He was inviting her to his house back in their hometown for a week like they used to do all the time.
Nobody knew of the romantic feelings she had harbored for him in high school. It hurt her to hold in her feelings, but she didn't want to risk losing her best friend. However, without telling him how she felt, she ended up losing him anyway. She didn't want to let him slip through her fingers for a second time.
Would she give up her perfect life, and her relationship with Jack, just to be with Cody? Does he even feel the same way about her? And what if he doesn't? Would things go back to the way it was before she came to visit him?
So much has happened since the last time they saw each other five years ago. Maybe it will just take the perfect vacation and just the right amount of time away for both Spencer and Cody to realize what they mean to each other. Maybe then, they could find the perfect life together.
