Disaster // Chapter 7

Brad:

"Ok guys, so, lets get ready to roll!" Laura almost squealed. I love seeing people get good news. By now we had all the cases out of the cupboard and we were figuring out a way to get them down to Laura and James' cars so that someone was still in the flat so nobody that we didn't know went in. After a while of silence and thinking Charlie finally spoke up. "how about a couple of us go and get Ellie and Connor then that way we'll have enough people?" Everyone just nodded. "I'll go! Who wants to come with?" Laura said slipping on her converse. "I will!" Lucy said running to get her shoes. "What about me?" James pouted and did the puppy dog eyes. Nobody can do those eyes like I can. "They need you and your muscles here!" Laura said grabbing her car keys from the side. "Alright alright, see you two soon" James smiled and they both waved and walked out.

"So where are we actually going? Nobody's told me yet!" Charlie almost sounded frustrated. "Thats for us to know, you to find out" I winked at her. "well that's not fair" she stuck her bottom lip out. "Life's not fair" Tristan winked as he walked past. Suddenly their house phone started ringing. We all ran over like mad people. I got there first ha! I didn't even bother to look who it was and I picked it up straight away. "Hello?" I asked. "Brad! It's Laura" the voice answered. "Hi um aren't you supposed to be driving?" I said back. "yeah well we've been to Connors house and nobody's in and now we're at Ellie's and we knocked and nobody answered but there's definitely somebody inside and we don't know what to do" she sighed. "Well I don't know" I chucked slightly. "Um if it's possible could you get Charlie to come down with a key? I'm pretty sure she has one for Ellie's" Laura asked. "yeah sure, bye!" I said and the line cut off. "Who was that?" Charlie said, walking back over to the sofa. "Laura, you have a key for Ellie's right?" I asked. "Yeah, why?" "No time for questions, go and get it!" She just stood up and walked to her room. "JAMES, TRISTAN WE'RE GOING OUT' I shouted and one by one they appeared. "I'll drive!" James said, grabbing his car keys.

Lucy:

"Lets try ringing them once more" I suggested, getting Ellie's number up on my screen. "Ok I'll try Connor too" Laura said, getting her phone out.

"Ugh straight to answer phone" I sighed and put my phone away. "yeah same" Laura said, putting her phone up on the dash board. This was getting hopeless. "lets hope Charlie turns up with the key soon" I said looking out of the window.

Suddenly a car pulled up next to us. Maybe we were in somebody's space? "Wind the window down Luce and see what they want!" Laura said looking across at the car. I did just that and they still sat there. What?! "Bang on their window! Hold on..maybe that isn't such a good idea, I'll get out and look" she said, opening her car door. Laura was about to step out in front of the car when they suddenly sped off, only just missing her. "SHIT" I heard her shout so I got out the car as quickly as possible. "They literally just caught my foot Luce and it fucking hurts" she was now sat down on the kerb, clutching onto her left foot. "Take your shoe off and we can see how swollen it is" she nodded and started to undo her laces. "I'll go grab your car keys and lock it" I stood up, walking back to the car. "They better fucking hurry" she looked down at her foot and wiped the odd tear. "oh my god that's quite swollen" I gasped. "I'll phone one of them now and tell them to hurry their sorry butts up" I got my phone out and the first person was Brad. "Hello?" He answered. "Hi is Charlie on her way yet?" "Um no she hasn't left yet.." he quietened down a bit. "tell her to hurry up, or anyone actually!" "Alright alright what's happened?" "Put it on loudspeaker!" I heard Charlie shout from the background. "basically Laura's in a bit of pain but I'll tell the full story when someone gets here but hurry up!" "Is she okay?" Tristan said. "just hurry up and bring Ellie's key!!!" I almost shouted and hung up.

After a good 5 minutes of some more crying from Laura and reassurance from me I looked up to see James' car pull up behind Laura's. "its about fucking time guys!" Laura shouted as they started to get out the car. I wasn't expecting to see all four of them!

Laura:

I shuffled along the kerb to my car so I could try and get myself up. "look what some dick did!" I said as I stood up on my good foot. "Shit are you alright?" Brad said as him and Charlie came over to me as Lucy explained it to James and Tristan. "It really fucking hurts" I said as I leant one arm on Charlie and the other on Brad. "Come here you" James walked over and picked me up bridle style. "I think we need to get you to A&E" Charlie said, taking a closer look at my foot. "But we need to find Ellie and Connor!" I said. "Ok then me and someone else can take you in my car then the other 3 look for them" James said, looking at me. "What about my car? It can't stay here forever!" I pulled a sad face, I loved my car. "I'll drive it, we share insurance remember?" Charlie said, raising her eyebrows. "fine, look after it!" I said, getting the key out my pocket and giving it to Charlie. "Who's coming with us then?" James asked the others. Tristan grabbed Lucy like they were glued together. "Bye brad" Tristan waved. "Sorry but Charlie's our driver!" Lucy also waved. Charlie pulled Brad in for a huge hug and a quick kiss. "Let us know how it goes!" Charlie said. "same for you!" I said, trying to wave. "lets go then" James said as we walked over to his car.
