Stormies POV
Ross coughed but blood before falling forward. "ROSS! ROSS!!" I screamed. Delly couldn't say anything. I ran to the door and Rydel finally started screaming for help. I couldn't open it but a nurse soon came over and opened it before running in. I ran in after "Ross! My baby!" I sobbed. He was lying unconscious in a pool of his own blood. The nurse rolled him over as other doctors ran in. "Ross. Can you hear me? Ross?" The nurse asked. "Ross. Ross." The doctor said. They put a mask on him "okay. Resuscitate him now" the doctor ordered. They ripped his shirt and started to 'clear' him. "Ready? And Clear"
5 minutes later
"We've got a pulse. Ross? Can you hear us?" I was sitting on the hospital bed watching them fight to get my son back. Rydel was outside in the waiting room. "Ross?" My son opened his eyes slightly and groaned in pain. "Okay. He needs an MRI scan asap and pain meds now." My son tensed and coughed before blood trickled down his chin. "Okay Ross. We're gonna put you to sleep alright? When you wake up you'll be in less pain" Dr Andrews explained as they all place my son on the bed. "Okay. Leave him with us. He'll be fine"
2 hours later
The doctor walked over and sighed "I think you should come into my office"
Ross' POV
I stared at the ceiling as the nurse left. I have 6 months to live. Chemo isn't helping. They're willing to let me out soon. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna let everyone down. The door opened and mom walked in. She was on the verge of tears and I wrapped her in a hug and she hugged me back. She broke down into sobs "I love you I love you so so much" I whispered as tears ran down my face. We separated and she held my head in her hands "baby I love you so much. You're so so brave" she sobbed. She kissed my head and I smiled as we both calmed down "you could live for a more baby." "We have to make the most of these months mom" I told her. She nodded as the doctor walked in. He smiled softly at me "okay Ross. We're willing to let you go now if you agree to come back once a week" he told me. I nodded slightly and he patted my back. "I'm sorry Ross"
1 hour later
I walked out of the hospital room and saw Rydel and mom in the waiting room. Rydel ran over and hugged me tight "oh baby" she whispered. I hugged her back "It will be okay. We'll make the most of it"
25 minutes later
We got home and I took a deep breath before stepping out of the car. We said by to mom as she drove back home. Rydel looked at me. "It'll be fine"
Rikers POV
I was cuddling with savannah when Ryland ran in. "Ross is home!" He exclaimed. "What?! He's supposed to be at the hospital" I smiled widely. "He must be better" rocky smiled. Rydel walked in with Ross following. I expected a smile on his face but when I saw tears in his eyes, I knew him being home wasn't good. "I need to talk to you" he whispered to us. We nodded "let's go. Van you too" he said before leading us upstairs. Rydel rubbed him back as we walked upstairs.
We sat on his bed and he took a deep breath "what's happened Ross? Why are you home?" Rocky asked. Tears appeared in his eyes "erm. Recently. I've been coughing up blood and having trouble breathing and today I er stopped breathing" Ross explained. I covered my mouth as Rydel rubbed his back "erm. It's spread. To my heart. And lungs. Chemo isn't making any difference and making it worse." Ross explained. Ryland had tears pouring down his face and mine and Rocky's were threatening to fall. "Pretty much
. I have 6 months to live. I'm gonna die" Ross told us as he choked on sobs. We all broke down into sobs and all hugged "no. You can't die" rocky sobbed. Ross let out a loud sob "m'sorry. I'm so sorry" he sobbed. "Ross. You have no reason to be"
6:30pm
Ross was cuddled up to me in his bed. I refuse to leave him. He sighed before shifting "you okay?" I asked. "Yeah. Can't get comfortable" he muttered. I shifted into a new position and he stopped "better?" I asked. "Yeah. Thanks" he mumbled. I kissed his head and the bedroom door knocked. "Come in" Ross yelled then coughed. The door opened and Vanni walked in "hey. Your mom called and invited everyone over for Chinese food tonight. You two want to go?" She asked. I glanced down at Ross "yeah okay. Is she on the phone?" He asked, seeing the phone in her hand. "Yeah. Wanna speak to her?" My girlfriend asked. Ross nodded and reached for it. Vanni smiled and handed it to him.
"Hey mom...yeah I'm okay. er does everyone-....oh good okay...yeah yeah...yep we'll come over in about half hour...an hour okay..." he laughed slightly "sound nice...thanks mom... love you too...bye...yeah bye" he passed the phone back to savannah and she left the room. "Mom said to be there in an hour" he told me, pulling the covers over himself. "Shouldn't we go shower?" I asked. He sighed "but warmth" he mumbled. I laughed and pushed him up "come on" he giggled and hugged me "fine. I'll give you a bath" I smirked. He laughed "you wouldn't" he mumbled, shoving his head between my neck and shoulder. "Come on Ross. Let's get ready" I smiled. He sighed as I placed him on his feet. "Go get ready. I'll see you in a sec" I smiled. "Riker" "hmm?" "I love you""
