His mother fell to her knees, tears rolling down her cheeks. She held what used to be a guitar, and looked up to see if Calum was watching and he wasn't.
She couldn't believe what she had done, she singlehandedly ruined their relationship and now she didn't even know where he was heading. And the thought of her innocent boy alone in a place he didn't recognize killed her.

Calum sat at the train station. He felt angry, he couldn't believe what happened. He wanted to do something he loved, all he asked was for approval, and the way things turned out wasn't at all what he planned. But at last, you must know Calum Thomas Hood wasn't the best at plans.
He had bought his ticket already, all he had to do was wait for the vehicle to arrive. He was heading to California. He wasn't sure what that was, or anything in fact. He closed his eyes, for he was tired. He got two minutes of sleep in before being awaken by a stranger.
He looked at her. She had sat next to him, it was actually annoying, because there were so many empty seats to choose from yet she decided to dawn on his. She had fiery pink hair with dark roots that cascaded down onto her shoulders, and her tan skin glowed.
"Stop staring at me." Said the stranger, Calum apologized, he didn't even realize that he was and looked straight ahead instead. She chuckled and rummaged through her bag, she took a box of cigarettes out and lit the wrong end of the stick.
Calum laughed at her stupidity. And quickly shut himself up and continued to gaze in front of him, even though there wasn't anything remarkable there.
"Running away?" She asked him, she pointed at his little carry on. He nodded at her and she grabbed the ticket he held in his hand. She was really straight forward, as if she had nothing to lose. "California huh? I'm headed there as well." She told him, he smiled at her and took the ticket back, "Calum Thomas Hood, and you?" Calum took his hand out so she could shake it, she did.
"Cleo."
