Bygone days

I want back the days when the world was still young

And the rest of our lives still no more than a song

Playing games in the attic, Robin Hood in the park

With our skates off the slide, not afraid of the dark

The time filled with laughter

And dreams so carefree

With fairy dust and climbing trees

And all make-believe

I want back the days when the world was still bright

When wishes came true and all was still right

But that's all behind us, when will I learn

Those days have gone by, to never return
