Crystal Vases

I’m standing there

In my hands a crystal vase

Voices everywhere shouting

Maddening sounds that enter my head.

Anger rising

Building slowly up in me

But it won’t come out

If I let it, I will lose myself completely

Staring at the object in my hands

I just want to throw it to the ground

My head won’t let me.

But my arms are slowly rising

Shattered glass all around me.
