Striker glided down on the island and Dusty quickly jumped off of him and ranover to pack her stuff. Striker gurgled in confusion.
"We're moving there." Dusty told him, Striker then roared at her in disbelief. "Listen buddy, did you see that kid? He is different from any viking I've seen in years, I want to know what he is really up to." She announced as she turned her back at him again as she tried to find her axe. "Oh, also did I tell you that I've been to Berk before." Dusty laughed at him. "You see, my dad is friends with the chief of Berk, and he knows me! So we're good!" Striker swishes his tail in frustration as he nudged her with his head, Dusty then put both her hands on his head and gave him a reassuring pat."It'll be alright boy, I have the perfect hiding place for you."Dusty winked cheekily and Striker gave her a look. After Dusty retrieved all of her stuff, she and Striker flew to Berk and they landed right on the beach.
"Okay boy, you go hide up in the clouds. People will see you easily if you stay here." Dusty ordered, Striker sighed and nodded. He took off and flew up into the clouds where he was camouflaged. Dusty smiled up at her dragon friend and walked off towards the great hall.
"Oh! Aye there lassie!" a voice called out at her. Dusty looked over and saw the one handed viking running up to her.
"Gobber!"Dusty replied with a grin as she turned fully towards him, Gobber gave her a hug which she couldn't breathe."How have ya been lassie? Its been 2 years, look at ya all grown up!" he sniffed a little as he let go of her.
"Haha, well not very good. My island as attacked by pirates.." Dusty frowned at him. "Me and my mum were the only ones to escape but I was washed off into the ocean and beached on a nearby island."Dusty explained, she sounded a bit better now that she'd told a viking that. And a dragon.
"Ah,ya poor wee thing! So ye have no place ta stay huh?" Gobber said not really thinking about her island being attacked and changing the subject. "Ya could stay at yer ma's place." He pointed to one of the houses nearby, Dusty remembered it clearly, she felt like tearing up but she held it in bravely.
"Are you serious? Thanks a ton Gobber!" Dusty jumped on him and gave him a tight hug.
"Well lass, yer dad did tell me that ya can live here anytime when ya grow up. I guess yer old enough know!" Gobber smiled at her and petted her head. They then talked a little for a while before Gobber told her it was getting late and that she should go to her new home.
Dusty went in her home, she must admit it looked terrible. There were spider webs everywhere, the furniture was still in the corner of the room all upside down and turned over and her bed was downstairs. Dusty sighed and decided to fix up the place a little, she put the table in the middle of the bottom floor and it took her 10 minutes to drag the bed up the stairs and get the furniture in the correct place. Dusty then walked up to her bed and lay there for a good long minute, she thought about how she even befriended a dragon, who were those pirates and who was that young boy. She didn't notice but she drifted off to sleep when she thought about it too much.
"GOOD MORNING LASS!" A loud scottish accented voice called out to her from downstairs. Dusty screeched as she jumped off her bed and rolled over down the stairs clumsily.
"Ow... oh good morning Gobber." Dusty looked up to see Gobber there holding a cooked fish in his hand. She got up lazily and looked at Gobber with bags under her eyes.
"Ya sleep well lass?" He asked, she woke up as soon as she saw Gobber pass her over the fish full force. She quickly caught it and looked up at Gobber to answer his question but got cut off immediately. "Great! Now let's go, I want you to see this!" He exclaimed as he opened the door and ran off. Dusty panicked and had the side of the fish in her mouth as she sprinted after him.
"Dammit Gobber wait up!" Dusty shouted at him angrily. "I AM NO MORNIN PERSON YA KNOW!?" She suddenly screamed at the top of her lungs as she threw the fish in the air but caught it again as she ran.Dusty ended up chasing Gobber down with the fish still in her mouth, Gobber luckily stopped in the arena.
"Good mornin students! Today yer all goin ta be fighting another dragon. That one is a big boy! " Gobber said grinning at them. All the students that looked like Dusty's age all gave him excited looks. Dusty suddenly came out of nowhere and nearly fell down but kept her balance.
"Hehm um mhere." She mumbled because of the fish in her mouth. The twins that were in the group gave her a look that said Who on earth is she? And, Why the hell does she have a fish in her mouth.
Dusty noticed it, she then spit out the fish and took a chunk bite out of it and stared at the two. "Problem?" She asked raising an eyebrow. The two looked at each other and shook their heads rapidly.
"Oh yeah, that's Dusty. She won't be with ye guys because she already went to a dragon killing school." Gobber introduced Dusty to the others. Dusty scanned all of them, there were only two girls and four boys. Her eyes then caught on the boy that she saw trying to befriend that Night Fury.
"Alright Dusty, go up there and look at how these fellas work on killin dragons." He chuckled as he pushed Dusty away and she walked off to go up on top of the arena. There she saw a old woman, she was quite short and she held a stick. It was Gothi. She was like the elder of the village of Berk.
"Oh hello Gothi." Dusty greeted her, Gothi looked up at her and smiled as she looked back. She was eerily quiet, as always.Gobber then opened the huge door, and the door was pushed open and green gas surrounded the entire arena. Dusty wasn't able to hear anything but she stared at how everything worked. After a little while of staring at the green gas and she heard a screech coming from the arena.
"Oi, careful." Dusty called out to the black-haired boy with buffs arms and the male twin. They both looked up at her in confusion before looking behind them where the screech came from. They then both ran in the gas holding their breath. Dusty then noticed that the two boys met up with the two only girls there, the tomboy one looked quite pissed and the twin was giving them a look. The tomboy one suddenly walked up to the black-haired boy and punched him when they both said something. The female twin then threw the water bucket at her brother and it made him fall over.
Suddenly the male twin was dragged away and he was shouting. Dusty quickly got up from her position and ran down to the gate that entered the arena.
"OH I AM HURT, I AM VERY MUCH HURT!" The twin screamed as he ran towards the exit he then hit himself on the gate and fell over.
"Ya'll right dude?" Dusty snickered as she looked at the strange view of the twin. The blonde got up and looked at her, Dusty swore that she saw a bush on his face."NOW HICCUP!" Dusty heard Gobber yell. They both looked over and saw a two-headed dragon.
Dusty suddenly yelled making the blonde twin jump. "ZIPPLEBACK!"
The boy, named Hiccup, was the one that tried to train that Night fury. He threw the water up at the dragons but failed to splash on the dragon. The zippleback then screeched at the boy and walked towards him, but they immediately looked like they regretted that when they sniffed him.
"Okay, go one back, back. Back!" Hiccup moved his arms towards the dragon. The zippleback kept growling at him but they moved back, back to their cage. Hiccup then suddenly threw what looked like an eel in the cage and closed the door. He then looked back at the gang, everyone have him a dumbfounded look and the chubby guy dropped his bucket.
"Okay, well I gotta go somewhere. And yeah well. Okay see you tomorrow!" He quickly ran off towards the exit and passed Dusty when he opened the gate and ran off. Dusty looked at the gang and shrugged as she rested her back on the wall.
