Dusty marched up to the arena, she had just come back from feeding Striker in the forest, she sighed as she dropped her fish basket and ran up to where Gothi was. She walked up and looked over, there she saw Astrid and Hiccup were the only ones in the arena and there was a Gronckle.
"I missed a lot didn't I?" Dusty chuckled looking over at Gothi with a sheepish look. The old woman nodded and smiled at her, like she chuckled herself. Dusty smiled back and heard a scream coming from the arena. She looked over and she saw Astrid throwing her axe in anger and frustration, the Gronckle was laying on the ground with its tongue out and his leg sticking out and Hiccup was about to walk out of the arena but was grabbed back by Gobber.
"I- ahh I am a-actually late for--"
"FOR WHAT? LATE FOR WHAT, EXACTLY?" Astrid cut Hiccup off and had her axe on his neck. Dusty did a grimace and chuckled nervously, worried for Hiccup.
"Alright hold it! The elder has decided!" The leader Stoick the Vast announced. Dusty's eyes widened as she heard his loud booming voice again, she smiled at the sight of the chief of Berk. I really missed too much, hehe..
Both the young vikings stood beside each other and Gobber was behind them, he put his hand over Astrids head and looked up at Gothi. There were some boos and groans in the background as the elder shook her head as she frowned. Astrids face shot up in shock as she looked up, Gobber then put his other hand over Hiccups head and the elder nodded and did a half smiled. Cheers spread louder and louder around Dusty as Hiccup was going to kill the final dragon in the arena.
"You've done it! You've done it! You're going to kill The dragon!" Gobber exclaimed happily at Hiccup. The rest of the dragon riders (except Astrid) all came over and picked him up as they cheered for him. Hiccup did not look happy nor satisfied with himself and he was being dragged away from the arena, everyone in the arena all followed, all except a certain viking. Dusty stood there looking down at the arena, she frowned and made a mad face towards the arena.
She then sighed and looked away as she walked along with the crowd, but stayed a good few feet away from then where she could get a good view of them. Hiccup was settled down but he was still overwhelmed from other Vikings and his father was there proud of him too. Dusty sighed again and looked over back at the arena, she locked her eyes on the Monstrous nightmares cage, it was rattling and there were roars and snarls coming from inside of it. She shook her head and narrowed her eyes downwards.
"Hey Dusty! Come on, come here!" A voice called out to her. Dusty looked over at the voice and Tuffnut was running up to her away from the crowd. "Hey, what are you here on your own? That's no fun ya know!" He said to her. Dusty shrugged her shoulders but laughed.
"Haha, yeah. True that..."
Tuffnut could see she was all sorrow and sad. "W-a. What's up with you? I've never seen you this sad."
"Oh, it's nothing really! J-just tired from what happened, you know, excitement!" She said enthusiastically at him. Tuffnut didn't buy it but let her be and nodded. "Yeah that's true. So hey, what to hang out at my place! Or actually our place. I share with my sisters which is no fun you know.." he pouted and looked the other direction.
Dusty rolled her eyes and laughed. "Haha well, at least you have someone to be with when your at home."
Tuffnut sighed and shook his head. "Nope, it's not."
"Huh, why?"
"Because everything is "ours"."
"Umm what?"
"It's like look, our mace, our hut, our room, everything is ours!" He groaned as he threw up his hands. "It's just want something that can be just mine."
Dusty looked at him sorrowly and petted him on the back reassuringly. "H-hey, "she chuckled a little. "No need to get overwhelmed, I'm sure someday you'll get something you will have youself. Okay?"
Tuffnut looked at her with a faint blush and a confused expression.
"I've been like that before. I actually had a little brother before, everything used to be ours. Like our room, our well polished shield and basically anything else." She paused and narrowed her eyes. "Until he left with our uncle, then everything used to be mine. But there was one thing that was mine. My life. Sounds stupid and idiotic I know." Dusty laughed out loud and stepped back a little, Tuffnut stared at her with a werid expression send laughed a little as well.
"I mean, you're sorta right. But..Agh I don't know." He chuckled a little as he scratched the back of his neck.
