zayn malik;
"Leaving so soon, boys?" Frederick asked as he fixed a fence outside his front yard. Harry, Liam, and Zayn had stopped to acknowledge the man, but Niall was still stomping off towards the metal fence where the guards stood.
"Uh, yeah. Thank you for letting us stay here for the night, Fred. We are very grateful." Harry moved a hand to pat at the mans shoulder, Fred giving them a small smile and flickering his eyes towards Niall who was slowly getting farther and farther away from them.
"He doesn't look alright, at all. Keep a good eye on him, yeah?" The three boys were nodding immediately, of course they would.
"Come back soon though, don't be strangers." Fred said as a goodbye, and then they were back on the move, jogging to catch up to Niall who was now stopped at the fence and glaring at the two guards that still stood in front of it, not letting him through.
But once they saw Harry, they perked up the smallest bit, giving him a smile as he stopped beside Niall's stiff form. "Good afternoon, mind if we head through? We have some business to take care of." Harry didn't really need to say any more than that, because the guards had moved away and slowly cranked the fence opened, Niall not even waiting for it to open fully, just squeezing through the crack as soon as there was one big enough for him to fit through.
"Niall!" Zayn was becoming agitated, Harry and Liam could see it casting over his tanned face as he frowned towards the blond who was still focused on some imaginary pathway that would somehow lead them towards Sunny and Jock.
"Niall please, love, you need to relax for a minute. We want to get to Sunny and Jock too but we need to think logically about this, or it'll take us way longer." Zayn was speaking as soothingly as possible, his voice small as he tried keeping up with the same pace Niall was at.
"I know exactly where GameLand is, where I used to be before you boys found me. It'll take us half a day to get there." Niall didn't meet Zayn's gaze, just kept his fast walking and staring straight ahead with darkness filling his blue eyes.
"But that was a camp, Nialler. It wasn't the real GameLand." Liam blurted out from their conversation, both him and Harry right behind them.
"Than we kidnap one of the men in the camp and torture him till he gives us directions to GameLand." Niall was very blunt with his answer, and the boys were shocked with how ruthless the blond was being. It was ten times worse than they had thought compared to the first time they saw him in that little cave behind the waterfall.
"That is one way we could do it....yeah." Zayn scratched at the back of his head, anxiety beating into his chest at how wrong this plan could go. Maybe they should've forced Niall to wait a day, sleep on his thoughts so he wasn't so enraged. Sure, he was just as angry, but he thought with care for everything and everyone around him, including himself. And Niall was being very destructive.
"That is the only way to do it, Zayn." Niall spat out, and than he was speeding up in front of him, distances himself from the other three. Zayn huffed in defeat, slowing down the slightest bit so he could walk with Harry and Liam.
"We should've waited." Zayn mumbled, wanting to speak his thoughts now that Niall looked out of earshot.
"No, that would've just made him more pissed off. And who knows where Sunny and Jock could be if we waited longer. Besides, I want their head on a stake just as much as Niall does. He's just not hiding his emotions like I am." Harry defended Niall, shrugging off Zayn's words.
"Am I the only one that thinks this is a really bad idea? We can't just go running in their like chickens with our heads cut off! We need to think this through with detail, these men are just as well-trained as we are. This is war now." Zayn was stern with his voice, the anger and frustrated was a toxic mix in his gut at the moment.
