liam payne;

Liam was very close to his family and friends, always coming to see his family any time he can get when he's not on tour. Also going out with his hometown friends to the bar or club. But his brothers, the four boy's that stayed with him through rough times and amazing moments. Those were the ones he worried about the most, thought about the most as he walked into the gas station, where he lived out in the Ruin, not to far from a couple towns. He lived with monks, the mans name that he was living with is Brother John. Brother John was a wise black man, with a long tangled grey beard and a bald head that he always covered with a straw hat that he made. That man Liam cared about, and also his wife named Gracious and also their eleven year old daughter named Precious. The religous family welcomed Liam on the sixth week after First Night, John teaching him all he needed to know about the zombies. Which, Brother John didn't like having the word "zombie" only liked "children of Lazarus" better. The sad part was, is that they don't kill anything... Meaning that no hunting, no eating which means they starve to death. Liam needed to help the only people that kept him sane, he needed to go out and hunt and feed that family... and if there was leftovers, Liam would gladly take those.

With many weeks of refreshing his boxing skills, and practising defense, also training and working out Liam was buffer and fitter than he ever was before. Using long sharp sticks to practise his defense with, swiveling the wooden sword around himself as if he was already a professional. Using knives from the home made kitchen that used to be the cash register and desk. Practising swiftly taking the knife out of his back pocket or belt and putting it in front of himself in defense. He laughed at himself sometimes probably looking retarded going on and on with taking the knife out of his pocket ether dropping it or making it as if the enemy was getting a definition on how useless he was with a knife. The working out part was easy enough for Liam though, using the broken down sign that used to advertise the gas station that stood high beside the deserted road. The bars that helped stand it up were high enough to do chin-ups but also low enough so he could at least grab onto it without stressing. Also doing 100 sit-ups and push-ups every morning and night, and fit in some planking if he wasn't walking around the Ruin with Brother John to look for any threats.

You probably think Liam was over reacting, he didn't need to do such work and training just to hunt for food. No. Liam knew what was out there deep into the Ruin, he knew that the children of Lazarus don't give human flesh chances to live, but also the sick bounty hunters out in the Ruin.

Those were the ones Liam was training for.

How they treat the children of Lazarus and cut them limb for limb until all they are, are head and torso. No arms or legs just so the infected can suffer...or do Lazarus's children have feelings and can suffer?

One of the millions of questions Liam had in his head at a time.

-----------------

Liam Payne walked out past the gas station door and into the unknown. Only with the clothes on his back, two knives that were both tucked into both of his back pockets, a hand gun that was in the holster of his belt that Brother John gave him, not before saying, "only if you need to protect yourself my brother."

Soon, hunting and hiding or the sad times where he had to kill one of the children, was a regular thing.

And also the regular thing that started him into becoming a bounty hunter. Two men from a town that was just a mile away had come by to look around the Ruin, finding him just as he took down a wild boar. They asked Liam to check on their town, help them with a couple problems with their people.

Having becoming a hunter to a Bounty hunter was a big step for Liam, and also heart breaking for Brother John, Sister Gracious and Sister Precious, having to prey to god every night that Liam had gone off to help the town with "zombie problems." Pleading to god for forgiveness over Liam's sins.

But that didn't mean that Liam forgot about the days worth of stories Brother John had told him, the myths in the Ruin. And also the one quote saying, "the children of Lazarus had been taken from this world, no longer with futures.. They all once breathed the same air we did." Whenever Liam would come back from his job he would prey with the monks, but always having that quote in his mind with all the other jumbled up questions and thoughts that were in there.

Liam was known as a hero in that town he helped protect.

Liam was known to be a sinner when he got home. But still loved and appreciated there as if they were his actual family. But besides the town and the monks.

His past still haunted him once he would look into those dusty, dull eyes of the children. Thinking to himself, 'what if my family, my friends, and god help me, brothers are one of the dead?"
