The past few days had gone by too quickly. Now, laying in bed in the dark, I wished for another week of no classes. Initiation was two nights ago, and that was fun, but now we had girls moving in and getting settled. Today I would be paired with my 'little sister' after my classes, which I had no desire to go to.

Over the summer, I changed my major to graphic design and film making, but it sometimes took more time then I had, and I was now having to consider changing again.

Throwing my blankets off, I stepped out of bed and walked to the shower. The happy chit-chat of girls echoed in the hallway. I was happy for them. I knew how happy I was when I made it, even though I come from a legacy, so I was guaranteed one of the ten spots. The water in the shower felt good and woke me up...

Sometimes, I just wanted to wear sweatpants and a t-shirt for class, but because of my title at this damn school, I was always expected to look nice and put-together. It actually sucked.

In the kitchen, I took a bowl and spoon from the cabinet and made myself a great breakfast of cereal. Curled up on the couch, I flipped to the most recently recorded episode of Awkward and stared at Matty's abs for a good half hour. Girls ran in and out of the room, taking their things and getting settled in. I loved the girls we had chosen. They were all nice, fun, and positive. This year would be good, I could feel it.

Back in my room, I got online and printed a copy of my schedule and gathered my things for class. A lot of the girls started classes tomorrow since cheerleading tryouts were today. Everyone was either on the team or trying to get on the team.

In the garage, I got into my car and headed toward central campus. The streets were busy and traffic was bad, but that was because it was the first day. I parked in a student lot and walked over to the closest cafe to grab a cup of coffee before my first class in fifteen minutes.

The Art's building was near and I was able to get there quickly. I found the classroom, which looked more like a studio. Canvases and sketch pads were all over the room. Thousands of pencils and pens were scattered around the room in cups. Along one of the walls, there was a small platform with a desk and podium- I assume where the teacher spoke.

Students were taking seats at stools at easels and I found one in the middle: not too close, but didn't make me look like I didn't care.

"Um, do you think you could pass me my pen? It just rolled by your foot," said a black haired boy.

Reaching down, I lifted it up and passed it to him.

"There you go," I smiled.

"Thanks... Uh- I'm Zayn."

I nodded and made sure I had a pencil too.

"Nice to meet you, Zayn. I'm Holly."

"That's a nice name...Holly. Well, I just transfered from NYU."

"Why would you move here from New York!" My jaw was probably on the floor right now. I would've loved to go to NYU, but I knew I should come here. My mom would want it.

"I needed to get out of the busy city. It's nicer here," he laughed. He had a beautiful smile, and laugh, for that matter. I could'nt help but laugh myself. He just kind of radiated happiness.

"Well, MHU is glad to have you," I beamed.

I could barely finish my sentence before the teacher walked in. He was a young man wearing jeans and a button down. He was probably an MHU graduate himself.

"Good morning, class. It's nice to meet all of you. I'm Mr. Anderson, and we'll probably be spending a lot of time together this year." He seemed to be waiting for a laugh from everyone, but nothing came, which then caused laughter. That seemd to be alright with him.
