Kierra's POV:

I violently shook my head no. There was no way in hell that he could get me to go down that crazy chute. Under ANY other circumstances I would have zipped down it faster than you could sing a verse of ninety nine bottles of beer. I was way too nervous about Austin. But not in a bad way. He made me feel as if i could trust him with my life but i still didn't know him well enough to know if i should trust him or just run screaming for my pathetic excuse of a life.

All thoughts of running were vanquished when Austin looked at me and that one look melted my insides to goo. Austin took a step closer to me, so close that his minty fresh breath is fanning my cheeks. Wild ideas are running through my mind and he leans down and whispers "Have fun princess,"

And with that he picked me up and carefully slid me down the metal chute. The intensity of the fall was incredible! It was so exhilarating and fun. Its definitely was enjoyable and oddly there was turns and it was a lot longer than old time laundry chutes.

My ride ended and I landed on a enormous pile of none other than the uber expensive silk pillows like the ones you read about in fairytales. I felt as if I could lay in this pile forever. It was right then that Austin decided to slide down out of the mouth of the chute and land directly on top of none other than yours truly.

"Why hello there princess, I suppose I should get off of you my sweet but it seems that I like this position."
I stared at him in awe and wiggled out of his grasp when a man cleared his throat loudly.

"Ahem.. Master, the others would like to speak with miss Tatum now." The large man rumbles.

"Yes I do suppose my brothers would like to speak to her Adam." My devilish friend replied.

Fear overpowered my senses and I bolted down a nearby hall my only thought being, run or he'll kill us both.

Austin's POV:

I tore off down the main hall after Kierra. And for a human that girl can run! I finally caught up to her and snagged her, cradling her in my arms while she sobbed into my chest. Her tears stopped and she looked up at me with the most heart wrenching look. I felt like I needed to protect and love her and never let anybody hurt her ever again.

An ear splitting scream broke the silence and I realized it came from Kierra. Her eyes glazed over and her heartbeat was no more. I ran like a madman into the pack doc's room and shouted for her to fix this poor girl that has captured my heart.

The doctor scrambled about Kierra as I cried over her lifeless body, praying for a miracle.

"Amelia, please tell me you can do something for her!" I sobbed

She simply giggled and said, "Dear I believe I know whats wrong. Do not worry so, she will wake when the time is right."

What? This makes no sense to me.
"Brother, where is the girl?" Asher the eldest of my siblings asked.

"She is right here with me!" I snapped.

Amelia, god bless her, butted in saying, "Asher leave the poor boy alone, if you hadn't already noticed your services are no longer needed."

"Fine I never wanted to turn an ugly mute slut like her anyway" He replied airily.

I jumped up and slammed Asher into the wall with a murderous glint in my eyes I growled "If you ever speak of Kierra in that manner, brother or not, I won't hesitate to kill you."

"Ha! my poor little brother has fallen for the dead human girl, perhaps its better this way though because you have yet to find you're true mate, or have you forgotten so quickly about the gift bestowed upon us?"

"That is quite enough Asher, you are to leave the premises at once." Amelia spit out.

Asher stormed out of the room and I returned my attention to Kierra.

Two days later......

Kierra's POV:

I opened my eyes and was enveloped in a big warm hug and my skin alit with little pleasurable zaps of electricity dancing across my skin.

"Oh my gosh Kierra!" A familiar voice gasped.

I rubbed my eyes and mouthed Austin?
