**Be aware I will NOT be able to update again any time soon! I still do not have a new copy of Episode V, meaning I cannot write ANY farther on this yet. I will let all of my fans know when I do get a new copy, but as I have yet to find it anywhere, that could be several months. You have my sincerest apologies, and I offer my other stories to you, though they may not be as good, in your opinion. The best I can do, until then, is ask you to follow me, and I will let you know when I get a new copy.**

**Without further ado, I present, for your reading enjoyment, The Other Skywalker: A Star Wars FanFic: Chapter Ten - Fights**

The rebels had barely left before Lili was told it was time for her to go. She sighed as she looked around her old room on the Death Star. Since her fourteenth birthday she'd done nothing but move. From the orphanage to Vader's small ship, from the small ship to a larger one, then on to the Death Star, plus multiple movements between other ships during different stages of the Death Star's construction. She was tired of it. Her feet had not touched solid ground in six years. She missed the plants. The flowers.

She sighed.

But I have a duty to do. There is work to be done.

Once her things were aboard the ship that her father had had come for her, she stood in the hangar, waiting. It felt lonely without Han's scrap-heap.

Darth Vader's footsteps approached, and she forced her thoughts back into submission.

"Are you ready to go?"

"I am, Father."

He looked over the ship. "If all goes well, you will be returned here. If not, I will join you shorthly."

Neither of them voiced their quite legitimate fear: that if something did happen, there was good chance that they might not see each other again.

Once on board the other ship, Lili hurried to her room. C4PO, who had been her companion over the past several years, didn't bother her as she lay on her bed and sobbed.

Darth Vader watched as the ship flew away. This was the first time he and his daughter had been separated since he'd found her all those years ago. He realized that over the past several years, taking care of the girl had become more than just a duty, a way to guarantee an heir. No longer was she just a pawn to be trained in the Dark Side.

He had come to genuinely care for the child. His heart ached at the very idea of never seeing his daughter again.

Angrily, he pushed all traces of the sentimental thoughts away. Now was not the time to go soft. There was work to be done.

And I have a duty to do.

The rebels, meanwhile, were on their way to their base. One insisted that they were being tracked while another argued that the ship was too fast. One was too depressed about the old man's death to care.

"Really, I would like to know who that other girl was," said Han, attempting to change the subject.

"Yeah," said Luke, suddenly taking interest. "I kinda liked her. What was she doing there?"

The men both looked at Leia.

"What?" she demanded.

"Come on, princess. You have to have learned something about her."

"Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't."

"Well, who is she?" demanded Luke.

Leia smiled softly. "A friend."
