Daniel Howell, or rather Prince Daniel, is the only son of the king. Therefore, he is known to be the crown prince. Other than that, the entire kingdom has heard about him from the complaints of palace workers and royal advisors. Apparently, work at the palace would have been easy should the prince have acted differently or if he doesn't exist at all.
Prince Daniel is known for his childish behavior, it was as if he isn't a prince. He has a mischievous side, but it's not like what the kingdom is famous for. Genaiva was also known for their love for adventure and taking risks. But still, the citizens knew the limits, while the prince would recklessly commit actions that other people would get punished for.
After all, he is the prince. He doesn't get punishment and always gets special treatment.
He also has a temper unlike no other. He absolutely hates to be interrupted and despises waking up so early in the morning. A story would be shared to new workers in the palace about how he once scattered broken glass by his doorway so that no one can enter to wake him up. Then there's the other story about how he would just throw anything he can get his hands on at the person who dared to wake him up when he hasn't given any sort of signal to do so.
The signal would be him clearing his throat twice. This was embedded into the minds of the five workers that would wait in front of his door by 7 AM, the time the prince was always supposed to wake up. The head servant would constantly call out to the prince ("Your highness, it is time to rise.") and when the signal is given, two workers would set up his bath and another two would set up his clothes. The head servant would then have to inform the prince of what he has to accomplish for the day, which he never listens to.
After the prince gets dressed, the head servant enters once more to make sure that the prince was ready and dressed well. He is then presented with the crown and a choice whether he will wear it for a day or not. Sadly, this servant would constantly get shouted at by the prince. Prince Daniel constantly breaks the rules and wears whatever he wants, whether it is fit for a prince or not, and proceeds to release his anger on the servant that insists he wears the clothing made for him as the prince.
During these moments, the servant would be saved from the terror the prince brings as the Royal Butler, who also doubles as the Personal Chauffeur of the prince, arrives. He ushers the traumatised servant out the door and deals with the prince.
As the Royal Butler, PJ Liguori is the head of all servants and workers in the palace. Most would expect him to constantly be at the king's side, yet when they realised the prince would be a harder person to keep an eye on, he was reassigned. As the Personal Chaffeur, he acts as his bodyguard and is to go with Prince Daniel to where he should be. However, sometimes, even Sir Ligouri's watchful eye can be escaped by the prince.
"For the millionth time, sir, I would like to request you do not terrify the palace workers," he said, walking forward. "I'm afraid they would end up quitting."
"Then hire others!" Came the careless reply of the prince as he fixed his hair in front of the mirror and took one last look at his outfit for the day - a black cowl-neck drawstring hodded t-shirt and a darker shade of black for his jeans - before he turned to finally look at Ligouri, the closest thing he had to a friend.
"I'm also afraid we might run out of people from the kingdom who are willing to put up with your attitude, Your Majesty." The prince rolled his eyes. Despite his insistence for Ligouri to call him by his name, he doesn't listen because "it is impolite and wrongful to acknowledge the members of the Royal Family as if they are mere citizens you could pass by on the streets". But apparently, he has no trouble insulting him.
